There have been ways to AFK grind in SWG for 4 years now. As the game has changed, so have the specific ways and places to do this. I currently use this method on a very populated server that starts with Blood and ends with Fin. My other server was essentially dead and I did not want to pay for a transfer, so i decided to start over. I will list in detail and with screenshots how you can level a toon in 2-3 days on bloodfin RIGHT NOW as of 3/17/08. This guide is no better than any of the thousands that have been made over the years, but it is relevant to right now and since i'm slow minded anyways, it should be nice and easy to read.
Here goes:
STEP 1- acquire a pet/incubated egg. do this my buying it, begging for it, selling exotic dances for it or just taking it
STEP 2- acquire at least combat level 10, any combat profession. just do this in mos eisley with quests or even on tansarri station
STEP 3- put your expertise points in Beast Master, towards left side of tree
STEP 4- remain
ungrouped and go to this waypoint on Dantooine: -3868 -5718
STEP 5- ensure that you are in overhead view (by moving your middle mousewheel back) so that your perspective looks like that of
a bird or a satellite looking down. play with the scrolling in/out so that the group is taking up about 3/4 of your screen
STEP 6- run the following macros:
name this first macro attack123, it essentially will target and attack any hostile npc around you every second, adjust the /pause X,
where X is to your liking, make sure you hit each hostile npc at least once
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/ui action petToolbarSlot0;
/pause 1;
/m attack123;
name this second macro rezpet and put the command to rez your pet in the 8th toolbar slot (number
this will attempt to rez your pet if it is nearby and dead. tries it every 45 seconds, just in case

/pause 45;
/m rezpet;
name this third macro petstim.
now, if you have pet stims, (when used they last 15 mins and give bonus xp for your pet) put them in the top toolbar slot (under options, interface you can expand to two slots
if you have not already) put the stims in spots 1,2,3,5,6,7,10
run this macro and it will give the xp stim to your pet as needed.

****IMPORTANT*******
1-to stop all macros, type /dump and hit ENTER
2-to start any macro, either click it on your toolbar or else type /m (macroname) --where
you replace (macroname) with the name of your macro
3- do not attack the mobs yourself! let the pet tag each mob, this is how you get xp.
4- stay ungrouped
5- enjoy! in 20 hours my friend went from level 49 to 76 with a couple breaks to go get pet stims, etc now and again. that was 99% AFK
6- also, you may want to make a macro such as this, i called it stillhere
/say i'm still here, really i am;
/pause 120;
/m stillhere;
so you say something now and again, it may or may not help you from going Link Dead.
********************
if you are not on a server that has people doing this at this spot, you will a) need to find a busy server that does or b) get a level 90 ass-kicker to go to this spot with you and kill the mobs while you run this guide
) Lvl90 with AOE there. The more the better, because the NPC will go down faster.
