Just joined the site, spent half an hour reading everything I could, checked on some of the community threads... Anyone know about a BETA test any time soon??? This game is going to own. Whether you love the era of SWG or not, if you love Star Wars and you want to have other people to play with online, SWTOR is going to be the game to play! I think that a lot of the CU deserters and the NGE deserters will return home from WoW and others to give this a try. I just hope that this new Star Wars MMO lives up to the hype being generated by some, and surpasses the low expectations expressed by others! Exciting!!

GAH!!! Each time they post something new, it's just a tidbit... I want this game now and it's just not coming fast enough!!! I swear if we can't BETA in the next few months... well... I don't know... I guess I'll wait longer... But I WON'T be happy! Heh... that's it.

Maybe so... I actually needed a change of pace so I just started gooing other peoples pants...

TOR is viewed as the 2nd chance at an amazing Star Wars MMO by a lot of players that felt blind-sided and cheated by the CU and the NGE. I think that something like 40% of the SWG player base (most of whom had been playing since BETA) left SWG within 90 days of the NGE. Those players have been drooling for a chance at a new game that immerses the player in Star Wars lore. I am definitely excited. I may just be another Star Wars geek... or maybe I am just optimistic... but until I learn otherwise I am going to hope and believe that TOR will rock!

I guess im more excited just because its bioware. Its been a long time since bioware has done anything crappy. Bioware is up there with blizzard for the quality of games.

The worst game they have released was their sonic game for the DS and that is still regarded as an awesome mmo for the DS.

Agreed 100%

imo pre cu/nge vets would flock to this game solely b/c it's not SOE affiliated.

Its a win/win for bioware, all they need to do is read the thousands of complaints on the net about SWG and give the players what they want/had.

Although I doubt it will be anything like SWG was pre-cu/nge, I personally can not wait to log off SWG for the last time when this game is released.

What, that you have seen, leads you to that conclusion? Or has SOE just disappointed you so much that you can't expect a Star Wars MMO to succeed... ever?
