Fake Clan invite : Darkfall Online - Submissions

Have to give credit where its due. All information was gather from that link. I turns out that any clan that is registered with the darkfall forums can invite members into beta. All you have to do is send an email to a certain address in a certain format and your automatically invited. Seems the devs decided to automate the process.

Here is the format:

its betaadmin@aventurine.gr is the email to send it.

Subject: <clan>

Body:

forum nick, email
forum nick, email
forum nick, email
forum nick, email


no more no less.

The Dev's did the clan recruiting around DEC 20'th, so the time to register is past. But I am seeing reports of people that are creating clans, then contacting the moderators of the Darkfall site to have their clan loaded into the groups.

Also some shady people are harvesting email addresses from listed guild leaders in the groups section of the darkfall site (probably by trying to contact them and hoping they email back) then sending fake clan recruitment email with spoofed email headers.

If you guys can confirm this, I hope you deem it worthy of a membership.

(im still confused to as to who the OP in this thread is) Since this is mine and the p17 groups work.
But anyhow, Where it says nick, that is the Id and email is the email of that id. dont just copy and paste lol.

Testing it now, i signed up a guild i ran two years ago, using those details will let you know if it works.

sorry about any confusion with the user name. I've had this account for a couple years but never really used it much.

BTW it looks like the devs are catching on to this fairly quickly, I'm not sure this will work much longer

Defariak - I'm not trying to jack anyones work, if this is yours i did not know that. I am just sharing the information from the post that i linked in my origional message.

Havent had any reply yet, as this was posted publicly two days ago im guessing its been nerfed or my clan registration details are wrong(which could be the case!!)

Your clan email must be registered and must be the email they have recorded.
Also if your clan already got clan invites it will not allow you to get anymore (weve tried heh) you can only use it as a one pop shot and only if your clan is registered and only if you have not recieved clan beta invites already.

Yea, make sure that the nick/emails you provide in your email are the exact username/email you used to signup for beta.

even if this worked, this trick will probably not work anymore...

those getting banned are not doing it right :\
People getting banned goes to show it works heh.
those who get banned are getting banned for one reason or another.
1, theyre already in beta.
2, they arent a clan leader
3, their email isnt registered pre closeout with adventurine
4, they arent doing it right
5, they are actually sending nick and email in the body instead of their id and registered email lol
6, their clan already got beta keys
it still works if you do it right.

Question on a clan invite.

Several of the guys in my clan have received invites at different times. I guess I'm wanting to make sure that those aren't "clan invites". If theys are individual invites I may give this a try.
