POST UPDATED 12/4/2009.

*=Confirmed personally
^=Confirmed by screen shot from others
&=Unconfirmed but listed elsewhere as a flake dropper OR listed in the lorebook in the same zone as a confirmed mob.
(TYPE)=Use this type of potion to remove this effect
(?)=It is unknown if this information is correct

ANOTHER NOTE:
The 17k Flake dropper is the COMMON spawn for the area and can be a significant challege.
The 8k Flake dropper is a RARE spawn ans should not be a challenge to kill.

How can I tell what is a flake dropper?

(WTH?! I can not have more than 1 image my posts?!)

Tooltip says "RARE ELITE". Avatar ring creates a GLOWING RAINBOW effect.
The above applies to ALL flake droppers that are NOT in Mirkwood.

Thanks!
Credit where credit is due! Thank you to all of the posters in this topic for posting screenshots of mobs and helping with corrections.
I would also like to thank those who created similar maps as you inspired me to get this place figured out!

He should be updating that map (like he said he would) to include ANOTHER area of flake droppers.

That would bring the total to *7* different flake droppers for loth PER HOUR :D

This map isnt 100% precise ( for example i killed Nimau today directly north from Echad Andestil. And to add more, right after Morthrang, so they are not sharing common spawn area/timer), but good as staring point for people new to Lothlorien.

eh. /nay-ish because
1.its posted in the public lotro forums (the link is provided)
2.The map above is now out of date too as the original poster has updated his post with the new areas.

I might be better to just bookmark the post that original map maker has and check it every once and a while to see if there are update.

umm why do you think link was provided .... ? so everyone could read a) updates by author, and b) where other players found flake droppers :)

this was only an fyi

(most who desire to exploit do not read the forums of their games for some reason, but everything is always at those forums before exploit sites, even if only as complaints by the goody goody crowd you know the "oh devs their cheating in x boss fight and it diminishes those who did it the hard way" posts)

in real game play if you are not a hunter no map no matter how current will let you compete against a hunter who wants flakes

actually just doing the "dailies rep quests" on 3 60's and gathering ore I averaged two flakes a day just stumbling around, so my 10 (15 counting duplicated sm crafts) supreme master crafters never wanted for flakes it was the legendary shards needed........

anyway it looked interesting and thought I'd share with community ... most stuff put here is 2 plus years old so this is a little more current :)
