BG Boss 2 fight : LOTRO - Submissions

During the fight with Cargaraf and Morgaraf, Cargaraf really dislikes people in melees range and has a really nasty attack for them, so it is best to range tank her.

What is interesting is that Cargaraf treats a Captain banner the same as a player, so after the tank gets ranged aggro on Cargaraf and she stops moving, if the captain runs up and plants a banner, every other attack is "Away with you" directed at the banner. Person tanking now only takes 1/2 the amount of attacks.

Better yet, because her ranged damage is much, much, less than her melee damage just have a ranged person establish aggro then allow melees to move it. I am pretty sure that away with you is an aoe anyways

And another thing...don't bring champs into BG past the first boss, it just brings down the raid. The lt. pretty much requires that you front load ranged dps. The only melee DPS you should have is a burg and even then s/he will not be in melee range for most fights anyways

I am confused here, I said it is BEST to range tank her, and using the banner near her causes half of the attacks (which would be ON the range tank) to now be directed towards the banner, thus hitting no one.

yay it works but range is where its at

Capt banners only last 5min. If you are doing HM you will be looking at a fight that is around 10min thus forcing the capt to replant the banner
