This seems to work well for script waiting for chatlog line : SWG Premium Discussions

This is what appears in the swgchatlog

"07/16/04 09:10:51 AM XXX tells you, '\#f4ef1dbuffmind\#.'...."

'Wait for Musicbuff request

LogLine = XUScriptHost.WaitForLogFileText(LogFile,"buffmind",1000)

If InStr(LogLine,"buffmind") > 0 then

buffmind

End If

To split out the target name use

TargetName= Split(LogLine, " ")(3)

you then can build a var like TargetCommand

TargetCommand = "/target " & TargetName

doCommand(TargetCommand)

The doCommand sub is in the autohunter script.

So far this works....

Anyway still working on the script, when I get done i will post it

Have you looked at drdeath's scripts for autohunting?

He had some fancy code to look at the mob levels by the FFXXXX color generated in the log too.

They might be still on the old forum, let me check.

You mean this line?

Target = mid(cstr(LogLine),22,InStr(LogLine,"tells") - 22)

This would also work. Should be faster to.

no, drdeath wrote some swg scripts to auto-hunt monsters.

Nice scripts btw.
