What's the advantage of using teleporting with nodes? : Guild Wars 2 Guides

I was under the impression that nodes randomly repop elsewhere once they've been active for awhile. This means that saving the coords won't matter as they'll shift.

Then, i've heard ore locations change each patch, and there's a patch about 2-3 times a week. Which means each patch you have to go and update each location.

However, if the latter is true than the hardest part is updating your coordinates each patch. Then, is it possible to use the same coordinates on your lowlevel alts with t7 pickaxes to just come by quickly and grab nodes multiple times?

If that's true then 5 nodes x 10 toons = 50 nodes * 3 ore per node = 150 Ore per run in under 15minutes. I'm told Orichalcum ore sells for 80copper a piece meaning 80 * 150 = 1.2Gold. Obviously this might be a good strategy only if you have 10 characters, and can find 5 or more nodes to save between each patch if they don't move otherwise.

I've also found that if you can save multiple node locations across multiple zones then your profit exponentially increases. Something around 5Gold for a 20minute run. However, my question is what is the "respawn" rate of these nodes? An hour? 30minutes? 24hours?

Orichalcum pickaxe have a requirement of lv60, so don't expect to just teleport yourself around with lv2 alts.
Nodes repop same spots every night at like 1am GMT, something like that.
Coords stick the same until there is a patch.

Also, you can pick up to 14 nodes per char (5 CS, 5 Malchor, 2 Frostgorge sound, 2 EB jumping puzzle).

Edit : fyi, as of now I do daily run with 6 chars, and make approx 250 ori ore / day, + approx 75 pvp badges, in like 30 minutes. Totally worth it.

So a more realistic approach is to PL 4 alts to 60, and then you have essentially 70 nodes to farm for a total of 210 Orichalcium. Anyone know the current prices for Orichalcium? Currently at work so I cannot :'(!

6.3Gold per day farming Orichalcium for about 30minutes on 5 toons. Not too bad but not amazing :O. If it weren't once a day respawns it'd be much nicer for sure. Then again if you work, and buy extra slots, it's possible to reach 12.6Gold per day farming Orichalcium with 10 toons, but the time investment to get 10 toons to 60 is fairly high. About 2-3 days of hard leveling to go from 1 to 60. =|

ps: I was looking for something like this all week. You are a life saver :)!

Well, since we're on Tault, 1-60 is much faster for us than the rest of the world.
1-40 with map completion from Auto Explorer, then 40-60 with cook / artificer (cheapest professions to level) and voila, only takes couple hours.

What do you make in cooking to level fast? I know artifacer is supposedly potions. Also, jewelrycrafting is 3rd place for cheapest/easiest too :).

Jewelcrafting is 3rd place, if you exclude the last levels that requires ectos that is.

For cooking, you have a great guide available at gw2wiz.com. It does only requires that you have a high lv character that has access to renown heart vendors for some supplies.

MMOViper is the one you'll get free as you have a premium account Danyp1. http://www.mmoviper.com/

These are the instructions on the Tault site for how to get the free account enabled on mmoviper.com:

I used MMOviper a long time ago and haven't touched it yet in GW2, but it's fairly easy to setup and the videos will show you how. Have a look, it's certainly the best I've found over the years and I've used quite a few!
