SB: How to play on the test server. : SB Exploit and Macro Discussion

The test server will offer five new character slots, a bonus of 5X extra experience and gold, and the chance to possibly have your way with a few roaming Shadowbane developers. You must be an active Shadowbane subscriber in good standing to gain entry to the Test server.

In this development environment it is important to remember a few key points of information.

Test Server Key Points

I. Please submit bugs and feedback using the built in CCR petition system. These petitions will go directly to the development teams. You will not receive answers to petitions however.

II. The test server will not be supported by the CCRs. So please do not submit petitions (outside of bugs/feedback as they will not be answered.

III. CCR's will be enforcing the Shadowbane Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. Using unreported bugs or exploits on the test server will cause your account to be disciplined.

IV. As this server is experimental, performance may not always match what is found on the Live servers. Furthermore, this server could crash or go offline for hours at a time. There will not be 24 hour admin support for the Test server.

V. This server could possibly be wiped at some point. Please keep this in mind before investing large amounts of time building a massive empire here. Although you are welcome to do so, keep in mind that this world could restart at any point in the future.

Test Server Installation & Setup

Here are the steps to follow in order to play on the Test server.

1. Copy the entire contents of your Shadowbane directory (folders, executables, dlls, etc.) to a new folder, and rename it (i.e. Shadowbane_TEST).

2. Open the ArcaneIP.cfg file in your Shadowbane_TEST/Config directory. Use Notepad or WordPad to modify the file.

3. Erase this address [SERVER= sb-ls.ubi.com] and replace it by [SERVER= sbtest-ls.ubi.com]. Save the ArcaneIP.cfg file and close it.

4. Open the ShadowbanePatcher.cfg file located in your Shadowbane_TEST directory and change the following URLs :

- For the patcher :

From - server sb-ps.ubi.com:3360
To - server sbtest-ps.ubi.com:3360

- For the patcher notes :

To - [MOTD Register to unlock hidden link]

Save the ShadowbanePatcher.cfg file and close it. You will now be able to patch your TEST version of Shadowbane, view the patcher notes for it and login to the TEST server.
