They just made the official announcement now. EverQuest 2 is now 100% free to play for everyone. No longer will they have free servers and premium servers. Now all servers will be free. This should be a plus for the game. It will get more players into the game and help overall increase the EQ2 community.

Yea im all for this move. I think it helps them IT costs down which means they can spend more money on updates.
