I don't think you can cloak up there as a spy.
spy can cloak anywhere so works too with a spy. though not everyone has a spy so this explot is still usefull..

Are you sure? I tried once on my spy and it would not let me cloak. I'll have to give it another go.

You can cloak there as a spy, but the NPCs will try and detect you.

As for this exploit it was fixed August 2008, or so. Now it kicks you out outside Mos Eisley, if it detects that you are on leave inside the Corvette.

not true, the on leave exploit is *NOT* nerfed!
Speaking for the rebel part of the Corvette, it still works. Just tried it today and was able to bring back one AV21 Powerplant.

Howto (already mentioned earlier in this thread by somebody else):
- get the ticket for the Corvette (speaking with the quest starter; you have to be combatant)
- fly to the Rebel Hideout on Corellia
- talk to one of the recruiters there and start the duty change to "on leave"
- you have 5 minutes to talk to the pilot NPC and start the Corvette instance
- wait at the starting point inside the Corvette until you are on leave
- loot the containers
- leave the Corvette

Notice: In case you have to clone up there (Battle Droids), you will be switched to combatant!

For those that don't know who to talk to about starting the quests.

To enter this dungeon you must first talk to one of the following NPCs and get a travel authorization(ticket).

* Imperial:
o Lt. Velso: Naboo, Emperor’s retreat (2405, -3967),
o Lt Sabol: Tatooine, Bestine (-1291 -3539),
o Colonel Darkstone: Tatooine, Imperial Oasis (-5321 2702)
* Neutral:
o Bruce McBrain: Tatooine, Jabba's Palace Entrance area (-580 –6220),
o Bronell: Tatooine, Jabba's Palace 2nd Floor by Ephont Mon (-5914 -6232),
o Yondalla: Tatooine, Wayfar Inside cantina (-5150 -6588)
* Rebel:
o Master Sergeant Crowley: Corellia, Kor Vella (-3404 3092),
o Pashna Starkiller: Corellia, Bela Vistal (6772 -5697),
o Adar Tallon: Corellia, Tyrena (-5448 -2674)

Not totally true I've been kicked while on leave a couple times but not every time. As for cloaking this is a ground combat so you can cloak.

Doing these runs can be a good way to make some credits. 30 minutes and you have the ticket and time needed to hit all the loot boxes and repeat.

I've had no trouble cloaking up there (but my spy was MADE to run the Vette-runs). But I DO get kicked out outside Mos Eisley when I go there on leave. And the Devs were told about this exploits at the Fan Faire 2007, so I know they know about it.

Then you're seriously doing it wrong.

Spy cloak works fine. Takes about 3 minutes to check the four loot bins and unlock the elevator. I'll sometimes bring along a group of guildies that want the badge. I can do the Destroy mission in less than 5 minutes and the rest of the group just stands in the first room and waits for the mission complete message.

You can rinse and repeat if you get each member of the group to get a ticket and re-run the mission. Takes little more than half a hour to run it 8 times.

With the new spy loot tables it might be better to take your time an steal from the npc's too (no AV21 powerplants from them, but other good loot is now dropping).

Once you complete the quest and receive the ticket, just place the ticket in your backpack and talk to the quest giver and cancel the current mission.
Rinse and repeat for as many tickets as you can hold in your backpack plus one. I think they don't have to be in your backpack, but I do it just to be safe.

After completing the first vette, just go right back to the NPC that starts the instance , drag a ticket into your inventory and right back up you go.
Only down side to this is that you will not get the schematic every time unless you talk to the npc that started it every time.

So I got all the stuff to go into the corvette. I rushed from the rebel recruiter on Corellia back to the base. I talked to the pilot BEFORE I went on leave, as the poster above said to do.

I waited five minutes in the mission and went through the door and then died.

Should I have gone on leave before entering? Or is it now nerfed?

No, the timer should still count even though you're now located in the corvette. After 5 minutes from talking to the recruiter you should get a system message saying you're now on leave, just like you know it from the ground. Then the little red dots on your radar turns into little white dots, and you're ready to go.

I have not tested weather or not they have changed anything recently thogh.
