Ok i give up trying to run my 2 different accounts same pc on windows XP. First account always loads fine but when i logout out of my pc user 1 and in to my pc user 2 account it always says update finished but never gives me the play option. Also tried this [SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=true copy and paste to my swg directory and still the same !@#$%^&* nothing works. I use to get this thing to work along time ago when first came out but now not a thing. Could anyone pinpoint if im doing something wrong id really like to know what.

It is still working fine for me. Open notepad, and paste the following exactly as it is typed

[SwgClient]

allowMultipleInstances=true

Save the file as user.cfg

Be sure the file does NOT save as user.cfg.txt

Next, copy the file to your starwarsgalaxies folder.

Hope that helps.

Does it matter if allowMultipleInstances is directly under [SwgClient] or must you skip a space with that?

Screamin on top of my lungs desperatley asking why does this keep doing this to me. It says download and update is complete but will not let me hit the play option. Why does this piece of shiiiit keep doing this. Im on XP it also does same thing when i log on to my second account on xP says update is complete and finished but does not let me hit the play option. Things like this really bother me and ill keep trying to i get it. There has got to be something checked wrong in my windows to make this happen.

Can confirm I huse my two accounts every day. So it works still fine...

Something should be broken from your side. Did you change sth in your configuration?

I had a different problem but comparable.

Every time I jump into hyperespace, or was landing from space, the game freezed on the loading screen (green wheel). And it was in fact my RAM that was defect.

Here, I'd say maybe modifications on firewall? some problems with port forwarding or NAT? A new firewall software?

Did you try to erase your 'profiles' folder (after backup of course) and log on again? Or log on from another computer to see if the problem is maybe from SOE side?
