AFK Junk Looter's : SWG Premium Discussions

Ever since SWG in their infinite wisdom decided that afk looting was not going to be punishable, every single place has been camped, and I kid you not, the same toons will be in the same damn places all day long. My fav spot used to be outside Dearic SP, I would sit there for about an hour or 2 and get some junk loot to RE 35's, now it's being camped by the same toons each and every day 24 hours a day. It's like they never leave. Is there a way to get them to go LD or do anything to get them out of there so people like me who only play the game a few hours after working all day can enjoy the game and get stacks of loot while not being AFK? Thanks for any suggestions. And I never posted a question myself so I'm hoping I put it in the right forum, don't want to be bashed right off of the get go. :?:

I've never gotten this to work, but other players have reported it in years past. Whether or not it has ever been nerfed, I don't know.

There is an old exploit that can lag out the entire area you're in. It's a self replicating macro. This can lag you and all players in the immediate area out to the point of the game crashing. If it still works, AFK players won't know they're no longer online, and the spawn will be freed up for your taking. Rumor has it that it can even lag out every player on the same planet to CTD. 8)

Name the macro Lag, assign a speeder or droid to the first tool bar slot (for this example only, however you can put it in whatever slot you want).

/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause .1;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause .1;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause .1;
/macro lag;

Keep in mind this exploit is several years old and most likely nerfed. In fact, it's so old I'm not even 100% that this is the correct macro lol. Sad to say, I don't have much else that would be useful. Can't even /report AFK'ers anymore.

hmm - maybe something else:

if they're farming outside the city boundaries and the AFKers are the ususal Entertainer Cred farmer... do /forage near them... occasionally you spawn either a CL90 NPC or one of the CL90 worms...

Got it managed to ...stop a group of 2 or 3 AFK Entertainer from farming Moufs in kkowir forest. (My WS needed wooly hide urgently - and those *censored* cred farmers are killing almost every single Mouf in the Area that damn fast - you don't even have a chance to get some hide... so I don't have any scruple to stop them for a while.)

lmao! I completely forgot about that one! Shows how often I forage these days. I'll have to keep this idea in mind.

Hah, the forage one sounds like a good thing to try, but unfortunately where i usually try to get junk loot is in the cities especially Dearic. Day in and day out it's the same two toons 24 hours a day. I believe these are the same people that are selling all the 35 powerbits for a mill a piece which has really screwed the whole profit thing up. Oh well, but thanks to all of you that posted, I will try the macro for lag to see if that helps. :wink:

Outside of Dearic, especially over the river, there are several spawns of CL1-5 mobs; when the sweet spots are taken IN Dearic, head out and circle the city - I'm sure you'll find several uncamped areas.

This is what I used to make AFK credit farmer (those spamming in sp) crash:

/tell farmer_name "Write about 300 to 400 letters here"
/pause 0.01
/macro lag

Now there's a funny game to do :)

put the macro in your toolbar and launch it over and over again. Try to see how many time you can launch it before you crash.

Only do that on AFK farmer or you can get a /report

Best trick is to have 2 or 3 ppl spamming a farmer with this macro to make him crash.

you can also do what they guy under the OP said with a PSG and run it from the toolbar, hitting it 10-15 times, you will be a glowing green orb and VERY laggy area.

WATCH OUT!, LVL 90 WORMS are here, they seem to appear when ppl are running afk macros more than 1 hour.

No they appear when you forage.

Those worms are part of a collection. You also sometimes spawn an NPC as well. I am certain this is to address the afk foraging but there is no time limit to it.

The good news is they are pretty wimpy so you can easily adjust your macro to kill them if needed lol.

Personal if you don't like the afk looters, just learn how write better macros and beat them to the kill. Don't sit here crying about it, learn to piss them off when they come back to there computer and they see not looted jack !@#$%^*!

You do know that this is a site that encourages this behavior, and that most of us here DO IT. So why would we want to help you stop us...
