Getting Zoning Rights? : SWG Premium Discussions

When bounty hunting it is annoying as all get out when a high priced target goes AFK in a house . . . well there's a way to get inside the house, that I will most likely post later, that allows you to get your mark. However, 90% of the time this trick doesn't help because you can't get zoning rights for the city.

Is there anyway to glitch zoning rights to allow you to drop a structure?

How does dropping a house of your own allow you to enter someone else's private home where they might be AFK? I highly doubt there's a way. It's why I had so much trouble when I used to take over cities and sell them. Because I could only do the small ones that the idiots didn't know enough to place zoning rights.

That's awesome . . . I don't care if you doubt that there's a way but there is lol. So how about posting in relation to the topic? Is there a way to force zoning rights.

Not currently. If the city has no zoning is the only way i could see you placing a house.

Not sure. I know I took over 1 city by accident. They barely had a shuttle and I just wanted a place to put my houses where I had access to a shuttleport easily but the city had zoning rights in place. So I kept backing up and backing up and backing up until I could finally place a house.

I guess theh ouse was right on the line of the cities zone. I walked to the wall that was in the city limits and got the message "You have entered blahblahblah". I then radialed the house terminal and declared residency. I then went and registered to run for mayor.

Two things though. I imagine it would be hard to do this if there were any active citizens still remaining. I would suggest doing this up to registering and wait until you go througha full cycle so you know when the ballot will close. On the second cycle, time it out so that you register to run for mayor right before the terminal closes for that cycle and you could pretty much take over any city. As soon as you're declared mayor, /grantz all your toons (I run a half dozen accounts) and place/declare and hope you can out vote whoever the highly pissed off group is.

This was prob over a year ago I did this. I do not know if it still works and I'm too lazy to try it since I'm on a nearly completely dead server and it's not really worth the time other than !@#$%^* someone off.
