How to "double robe" your jedi : SWG Premium Discussions

Alright guys, time to buckle down and figure this out. I did extensive testing today dueling in Restuss. Either there is an "I-win" expertise temp for jedi, or there's a rampant exploit. I believe the latter to be true.

Some jedi (even respecs) can just stand there and let my BH hit them 10 times, taking very little damage (eg 101-290 dmg). Then they proceed to thrash me soundly when they feel like fighting back. I'm no noob, wearing capped armor, multi-stat jewelry, Guardian Lightning Cannon, etc. etc. I've been playing since launch and have my own Pre-9 elder jedi that I've earned so I know what it's like being a jedi too.

The combat window makes it clear that some jedi simply take half damage, compared to others. And, it's not like theyre all tank and have given up their offense - they hit hard too! THIS NEEDS TO BE FIGURED OUT OR NERFED!

Or, is there really an "I-win" temp for jedi? Stop giving BS about server boundaries and stuff unless you know what you're talking about. Okay, so I'm angry. That's all I have to say.

Hate to reply to my own post, but the exploiters may be using a "full expertise" hack, like darthconner was trying to explain in another post. Either way, need an answer please.

Yah, i notice this too. Im a full tank template, with quad stat clothing and multi stat jewelry. I have both village crystal buffs, every other buff you could think of, sunriders, spice and high stat food.

Now there are people out there who can tank better than I can, while at the same time out damage me easily.

Could also be something to do with double professions possibly, if they transferred.

Something somewhere is doubled up. Either robes, pearls, expertise or profession.

I'm sick of this as well. I'm not sure what people are doing. Had a guy tank 4 of us (2 cl 90 Jedi, cl 90 medic, cl 90 BH), and was just messing with us, we couldn't even get him to 1/4 health and in incapped us over and over.

He said he was too dumb to sploit...

I can't figure it out... but another time I faced someone, I was hammering him, he ran and cloaked, did something (whatever the sploit is) then destroyed me in about 4 hits and I couldnt' even damage him.

I think its something outside of the respecing or duel profs... not sure

i have the village crystal plus my heathe is at 1600 + 2000 health that dosent show as a buff thats 3600 health and i promise you wont kill me ever

I hope your health is higher then 1600 Simon... mine completely unbuffed and naked is more then 1600,its more like 14500 and buffed with food but no village crystal its 17000ish, and the villiage crystal is 2000 more which would be 19000ish. Now I dont know about you but with the single target power attack (I forget the exsact name of it off hand) it does almost 2k damage to a player... so the villiage crystal only really gives you a single hit buffer.

So in reality it cant have anything to do with the villiage crystal. This is something that is actually causing people to take less damage via mitigation, not just a few more HP.

It's the double jedi profession /// I know several persoannly on vent .. what happend is they did the server tranfer to double up .. What happening is they have the ability to equip 2 sabers 2 robes and they can double lightning and etc. they can have duel toolbars now also so they have all special easly doubled up fire off 1 lightning special and then switch to same command before other recharges .. healing is same way ..... devs can't figure it out because .. in order to do that they would see only one set of commands still instead of duel profession commands ..

Am pretty stoned atm so i am hoping my explantion was enough ..

also i was told by a dev that there is qaute: ( A peroid of about 25 seconds where a jedi can take no damage whatsoevr if using the right buffs and set up) the exact words used by the head dev to me ....

Not sure how they would get 2x Jedi.

I transferred with one of my toons, respec out to another profession and I get 2 professions, respec back and im back to single profession, I cant respec to the profession I already am.

Can you seriously comfirm this is true or are the people you know on vent given you a bunch of BS... and I would also like to know how thats done.. I mean if your CL 90 jedi and you transfer to a server then transfer back.. the respec with a tool or the respect npc.. can you even select jedi and respec into jedi again?? that would be the only way you would get the abillity to use the commands twice.. and thats if it gave you the commands twice on the list. Second thought about this is how would this make it posible to use 2 sabers and 2 cloaks in what way is respecting twice into jedi (again if thats even possible) related to double equiping jedi weapons or any weapons for that matter.. do you not think other people would try this with say bounty hunter??... and equip 2 rifles??

I learned one thing - a friend of mine reported 2 jedi who were obviously exploiting this. A CSR thanked him and within 24 hours, one of the exploiters was suddenly beatable and the other guy hasn't logged on for a week.

Moral of the story is: exploits are great for the exploiter, but if it ruins the fun of another player then the exploiter takes a risk.

Generally, most exploiters like to brag about their prowess. They do it obviously and challenge everyone to duels.

You can almost guarentee these days, that if someone wants a duel, they are exploiting.

Again ill say, the best cheaters, are those who dont look like they are cheating.

Be careful which abilities you use and how much you win by.
