Offset question : SWG Premium Discussions

What strategies do you guys employ to determine offsets for static items on the map? I am trying to make a simple radar for DCUO (or at least get the offset info and go from there) for the collection points (points that randomly spawn in preset areas that you have to activate for a reward).
