Possible Uber Hack : SWG Premium Discussions

So, I was reading on another site that if you /unstick between the Restuss SP, and the Shuttleport, you become invisable and can walk through walls and stuff.

Well, I tried this and it worked. It also allowed me to walk through hills and houses and float in the air. To test a few things out, I went up to a lair nearby and attacked it with some grenades I had on me. I got an error message saying something along the lines of "Unkown item transfer error", yet the grenades worked on the lair, and didn't get subtracted from my inventory. Perhaps this can be used to dupe creds or items. I don't know.

On a side note, after about 10 minutes of this "invisable mode", I tried /unstick again to bring me back, and it did, but after another 3-4 minutes.

Pretty weird if you ask me, and may be usefull for REing looted stuff or creating free creds. Give it a shot.

I won't say nay yet, since I may be standing in the wrong spot, but so far all it's done is freeze my controls up. The only way to reset them is to alt tab to windows, close SWG from the taskmanager then reopen it.

I was trying to center myself between the 2 closest corners of the the starport and shuttleport, and had an alt standing nearby on another computer to watch the effect for confirmation. My main never went invisible and every time, the game would load as if I were loading to a new planet, I would get a message that said I had to be SF to enter this area, then I would be teleported back to where I started out. About ten seconds later, my controls would freeze.

If I'm standing in the wrong spot, let me know, I would like to confirm this as working, but so far, I can't.

I'm sorry cfdfireman749, I left out some key info in my first post. When I first got "unstuck", it did like you said and looked like I was loading into a new planet. After I loaded in, I was right by where those theives are just outside the city. I tried walking and then it transported me back to the original "unstick" spot. My controls were frozen for maybe 5 seconds, and then I went invisible. Now, when I say invisible, it is only on your screen. Other players in the area will be able to see you. So I wouldn't recommend attacking anyone or blatantly running through any walls right in front of them (or hills for that matter, LOL). I will get in game right now to find a waypoint of where I did this last time.

Little update:

(Waypoint is 5266 6193)

When I tried it this time, the usual happened with the transporting to the thif area, then came back to the original spot. However, this time no controls locked up, and I didn't disappear right away. It took like 15 seconds and it happened while I was running towards the StarPort Terminal. Also, I was only able to run around invisible for like 3 minutes. I was brought out if this invisible mode by using one of my specials.

Hope it helps you guys crack the mystery of this possible Ubeer Hack, hehe.

lol Yeah I can see how what I was doing was wrong. That and I was thinking that my toon would be invisible to everyone. I thought I'd be able to really mess with spies while hunting them!

I'm in a lull in a huge battle on Talus right now or I would test this out. I'll try it again sometime this evening.

This /unstick trick was posted here about a week ago:

I tried it, it works. You're visible to others, but wan walk through walls. The bit about using grenades is interesting, I might play with this some more and see if I can come up with something interesting to do with the trick.

Oops! Didn't know it was already posted. Sorry guys.

On the item use note, I found that you can use various items (grenades for example) and they won't deduct from your inventory while in "Ghost" mode. They will, however, upon returning to regular deduct. This is what makes me think that you may be able to trade creds and log out, or maybe RE armor/clothing and not lose your armor/clothing you used in the session.

Also, I tried killing some NPC's and looting them, and it would give the same "Error transfering items" error.

And when you run through hills, it looks that way on your screen, but others see you as on top of the hill. Pretty weird all around if you ask me. But maybe we are on to something.

ADMIN: I don't want any credit for this thread, as it was already posted and I was being a doofus, hehe.

Yah it was already posted. Seeing this was in the discussion forum instead of the submission, and by the way it was worded. I thought you knew, thats why I left this thread vote free, because I thought it was a discussion on alternative uses for the trick.

I wonder if this item dupe could work for crafting? Anyone want to try?
