Resource Info : SWG Premium Discussions

Could there be a way I could find out what all the resources are on a planet outside the normal ways ingame? Finding creature resources is a pain using the resource deed. Perhaps something I could parse to upload on swgaide to help the community.

I think the only interface to the resources database at SOE is the resource deed. It should be possible to read the resources and maybe even the stats of each from memory and write them into a file, so it can be uploaded with SWGAide.

I remember the pain of updating resources - and even more pain for updating creature resources. That's why I left that for others and "only" did the surveyable resources out there *g*

One thing that may bug an automated read of the resource deed is the fact that sometimes a new resource is not listed at the bottom but at the top of the deeds list. This happens every now and then and stays until you extended log out the toon.Same toon, same deed an hour later and the new resource will be at the bottom of the list, where it should be.

I worked on a project like this a while ago.. it would read the resource name/type from memory when using the deeds and it would check the list for new additions, it would also log resource stats if i examined em manually. I planned to make a bot that cycles each resource in the deed but due to lag etc it was a pain in the !@#$%^* so i decided to scrap that method.

This would be supremely helpful for traders. Were you doing it in autoit? Any chance you could release as far as you had gotten?
