Something INTERESTING MUST SEE!! : SWG Premium Discussions

found this on the official forum!!

loot tables:
i think ive done it, or come close to it.... how to get the loot you want by killing NPCS!!

Let me start on how loot tables are "known" to work or believed to work....
When you Kill a Enemy, you get loot, it is "random"...
The Way the "random" factor is achieved is by Using a Number generator.
Lets Say When you kill a npc, a number generator starts rolling, like numbers 1 to 10,000.
When you finally click the Loot button or macro loot the mob, whatever number stopped on is what loot you get.
Loot is assigned through blocks i believe,
lets say Modded Clothing is Numbers 3,434-4,133 and Knight Robes are 5,323-5,654
This is how i believe loot is handed out and how the loot system works, and ill tell ya why..,

In the DWB, i ALWAYS used a loot macro, it was just "/loot; /m loot" and i cant honestly say ive ever gotten a single liquid with it...
Well i turned it off last week, and have gotten 3 liquids since then!!!! with no macro on, just a manual loot.

So i needed to test this further, i went to Dantooine to Kill Force Sensitive DJM, Knights, Crypt Crawlers etc..
I Created 10 Macros on my toolbar with Different Pauses for each button.
Like This
Button 1 "/pause 1; /loot"
Button 2 "/pause 2; /loot"
Button 3 "/pause 3; /loot"
and so on...
So i killed hundreds of these guys, and used different buttons on them after i killed them.
My results were actually pretty astonishing!!!

with Pauses of 1-3 Seconds, i was getting Eggs, Milk, and JUST credits.
With 4 Seconds, i was getting Fenceable Junk Like Metal Cases, Software Modules, etc.
With 5 Seconds, i was getting Modded Clothing and Armor, etc.
With 6 Seconds, i was getting Crystals (premiums and Selects)
With 7 Seconds, i kept getting Loot Kit Parts Like Adhesives, AND STIMS (like improved constitution, etc)
With 8 Seconds i kept getting Knight Robes and a few jedi clothing.
With 9-10 seconds i was getting just credits..

Now when i say i was getting stuff above, it was a few peices here in there, it was VERY VERY consistent!!!
Like after i started using a 4-8 second macro I DIDNT GET A SINGLE Egg or MILK DROP! not one!
I looted 4 Knight Robes using the macro, in like 20-30 kills!!! these are amazing rare and couldnt believe it.

Further Info and Testing:
When i was engaged in fighting 2 Enemies, i was getting Poor Loot or totally random..
i found that I MUST SINGLE OUT enemies and click the Macro the INSTANT they hit the ground and die for it to be effective.
(usually my lightsaber was about 3/4 of the way back in and the music stops playing OR the enemy names stops flashing)

SO go out and try this guys, let me know how effective, if at all, it is, I HAVE HAD GREAT LUCK doing this, like amazing loots.

Good Bye Milk and Eggs and Credits!

, so if someone figures out the PLC/BL timing, Send it to me or give me some liquids lol, i take donations!!

It's speculation and I cannot confirm it. As far as I can tell, the loot drops are completely random.

looted X2 BL and X1 PLC with my loot macro this week
I always thought the loot on an npc is determined when they spawn

Ive tried this on jedi knights and dark adepts on dantooine using the 5 second macro. I noticed something if i use the 5 second macro im getting more modded clothing drops then regular manual looting them. There is something strange about this definit. This needs studied more but id definely say your on to something with this i guarantee it.

a short run of luck cannot be taken as 100% occurance, to validly say that it does effect it you need to do it for hours on end, in multiple locations on multiple NPC's you need to have a "control" and a "variable" justt like a science experiment, i highly doubt this is true since programing it this way would be much harder than just making it random.
