Stumbled acrosss something interesting. : SWG Premium Discussions

I believe I have stumbled across something yesterday that I will not post the details of because I have yet to figure out how to repeat it. But, the result of what I did allowed me to retain my entertainer buff even though it had since gone away and may be possible to do this with Medic buffs.

The stats would not show up in the character sheet so I don't think there is much of a chance of being caught with this as long as you're careful.

What happened to me specifically was I got an XP and movement speed buff. Something that happened between the time that I was running around debating whether to PvP or not and actually PvP took away my buff icon and I still had the movement speed and judging from the GCW points I got last night, I also had my XP buff as well.

Now I know that there was an ent buff stacking exploit not too long ago. I'm going to check it out and see if it could possibly be the same thing that happened to me only I accidentally stumbled upon it. But, I thought some of you might find this interesting.

I will also see if by getting more buffs will stack upon the old hidden buffs. But, basically I was a tank last night because I could run away quickly. I wasn't nearly equipped enough for PvP and yet I did well. Well that's all for now, just thought you should know.

Ok well I didn't really say how I'm doing it, but I think I reproduced it last night.

Here's what you do:

Get ent buffs. Doesn't matter what kind, anything. You can check and see if this is working specifically by getting a movement speed buff.

Now doesn't really matter how long you get as a duration just like 30minutes to an hour.

Once you do that. Launch into space. Doesn't matter where, just make sure you see space and are in your ship.

Now log off.

Don't log back in for about 8-10minutes. I couldn't time it very well because last night I got back on about 3minutes after logging out and the buff was still visible under my name. So I launched into space again and logged out. Came back about 8minutes later and it was no longer visible, but I believe my Strength, Dodge, Critical Chance and Constitution were still there. I have not yet tried to get another ent buff on top of the invisible one for fear of loosing the first one. But, I will try again soon. I think it lasts until you've been logged off for like an hour (just an estimate) and it doesn't leave you even if you die.

I know I saw that one. But if you'll read the responses, you'll find that many people had issues getting it to work. I believe I have found a better, faster and more reliable way to do it.

What's wrong with that?

It really doesn't matter whether you're in POB or starship. You'll want to exit out of the game completely. To do this you'll press Shift+Esc.

Basically you have to let your character disappear from the game. And the buff will disappear as well shortly after. To which you can then log back into the game and still have your buff, but it will not display under your name or stats and you can get a new buff on top of that.

No need to be rude, This could be alot faster way to do this. Also if that way doesent work to Esc, Just disconect your CAT5 cabel. I will test this tomorow and letcha know how it goes

Hmm weird this worked for me. I disconected my CAT5 cabel and logged in 10 mins later and had my old ent buff stats and then went and got another ent buff and the old stats stayed along with it. So i dont know maybe im just lucky i will try again on this.
