Switching Squadron Ship Equipment "glitch" : SWG Premium Discussions

I recently moved from my First to second squadron as I aced and am working on acing all the squadrons in the game.

I happened across what seems to be a glitch I don't know if this is known or well known or not.

If it is I apologize.

Any who.

I am rebel currently and kept my Z-95 after I moved to the X-wing and moved up the exp level.

Knowing that I would need my Z for the next two squadrons.

I had pieces fitted on it that were above Tier 1, T2-5, but that I didn't use with my X-wing so I left them on the the Z. after I resigned my previous squadron and started with the new one, I had forgotten about the parts However it allowed me to use the higher tier parts and droid on the same ship, although I should not have been able to.

Like I said I don't know how well this is known if by others but its new to me and figured I would mention it.

i do this all the time i normally outfit a heavy skyck with L7 parts then as long as you dont modify it when you respec to a different pilot profession you are able to use L7 parts in the heavy skyck from level one plot box

this is very old and I thought quite well known. It does indeed work as OP described. Don't know if this has ever been posted here before so I can't yay or nay this from that view. But as I said it does work and has been ever since I can recall.

well like I said in my first post, wasn't sure how well known this was but for any future pilots hopefully this will help.

I don't go digging for glitches etc just play the game, and I figure after 5 years, most of the meaty stuff has been found already.

Good post, there are some knowledge challenged players that this is usefull for.

Personally I like my heavy Z-95 loaded with a Nova engine and a Re'd lvl 8 Tri-gun, Re'd lvl 7 shield ETC.... The heavy variants are some of the best and most over looked ships in the game.

I think this technique (used by me for 8 aces so far) is actually posted in the Pilot stickies on the SGW forums.

This is a good trick, but already posted here. I found this out myself and tried to post it as well :)
