use voive chat without holding down the button? : SWG Premium Discussions

Hey jst a quickie. is there a way to use swg voicechat without having to hold the button down 2 chat. heard u can but not sure as there is no option and i cant find a program for it. any help peeps?

What you're referring to is voice-activation. The servers are down right now so I can't check yet, but I don't think they have that in the game. They only have PTT, or Push To Talk. Ventrilo and I think Teamspeak have both.

My guild, as I'm sure most guilds do, still use Vent. The in game voice chat really sucks.

yea there is a way to do it.

Make your voice button ur Middle Mouse button. (Scroll)

Hold it down and buy a ticket.
talk to droid and travle.
the entire time ur doing this hold the middle mouse button down.
when u load in. you can let go. and your voice will automatically stay on with out u holding it. i do it all the time.
enjoy and NO im not gaurenteeing it to work all the time. but it hasent failed me yet lol

can also use /voice pushtotalkdown for perm voice on
/voice pushtotalkup to turn off
