Obtaining sellable loot drops from mobs and npcs By now you're well prepared to begin your quest to make credits. Your income from combat will primarily be credits from the npcs you kill in addition to any rare loot drops that you may also find on them. This section will discuss the most fruitful areas, mobs and loot that you will look for when trying to maximize your credit earning potential.

While loot in Star Wars Galaxies is somewhat limited, it does exist. The trick to maximizing the potential gains from farming this loot comes from three main factors: the ability to find the mobs, the ability to kill the mobs and the knowledge of who to sell the loot to. This section will explain the most profitable and in demand loot as well as which mobs drop them, the difficulty to obtain them and their potential to earn you credits.

Keep in mind that the vast majority of sellable loot is randomly dropped by any npc. This means that it will be a bit tougher to get good drops than go here, kill this specific mob, and get this specific item.

Yay since it isnt here, but this guy copied this guide and it might even be on the swg forums by now. Anyways, this guide was written back sometime in between a year and 6 months ago and because of that everything has changed in terms of credit farming, junk loot is useful-krayts are nearly impossible to solo-Credit rates have completely changed-drops have changed. In short this guide is practically useless and so...NAY NAY NAY NAY NAY.

I'm going to say Nay also. The guide contains erroneous information, such as flawless pearls, and holocrons, dropping - both are obsolete items, and do not drop.

The actual credits you loot are meaningless as the real value is in the junk loot used for REing.

Here is a great guide for making alot of credits fast:

Find a low level spawn of NPCs (level 1-2 insta-respawns in dearic work great), and camp it with a loot macro running. Sell your junk loot to the RE guys.

Sorry Nay. Everyone knows the money is in Enraged Rancor missions on Dathomir right now. Sell all the loot from that and you can be pretty rich.

Whats the payout/difficulty on those. Size of group needed?

I don't go for the payout, I simply move from one to the other and every time I do, they respawn. Almost every single Rancor has either a min of +18 stat or a high Isomerse Enzymes. And then you can also harvest the hide which last week was good quality, only got 18k of it unfortunately :(
