good dsj set ups : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

1. Glancing blow or Glancing blow ranged (your choice) / Pvp crit / Critical hit defense

Agility / Luck / Precision Pups: 2x CHD / 1x pvp crit or 3x CHD

IMO this is the best "all around build" for any DSJ.

Jewelery Set: Dark Fury / Heroism (I prefer DF) Food: Accaragm

Pros: Even balance of defense and offense

Cons: You wont hit as hard as a crit stacker Expertise: Full darkside (no strangulation) Full SB, Full cloak, Shockwave

Tips: You have a great mix of stats with this build but your not invincible always make constant use of LOS.



2. Block Suit: Block chance / Crit hit defense / Glancing Blow

Strength / Block chance / Agility Pups: 2x Block chance / 1xCHD OR 2x CHD / 1x Block Chance.

Jewlery: Guardian Food: Fizz Pudding

Pros: Extremely defensive suit can take a beating especially with buffs

Cons: Lack of crit in the suit greatly reduces offensive capabilities / The suit requires armor to stack enough block to be effective.

Expertise: Full darkside (no strangulation) full SB / Full Cloak / Make sure you grab strength in expertise / Shockwave

Tips: Maximize your block chance and pump up the value as high as you can. Strength boosting buffs are imperative. As always LOS is key.



3. Raw DPS: Crit hit defense / Pvp crit / Crit chance increase

Agility / Precision / Luck Pups: 3x pvp crit or Crit increase / 2x pvp crit or crit increase 1x CHD

Jewelery: Dark Fury Food: Accaragm

Pros: Huge hits and drains will make you a wrecking ball.

Cons: Lack of defense will make you a glass cannon.

Expertise: Full Darkside / Full SB / Full Cloak / Shockwave

Tips: Try to maximize your crit with this build / Tacs for increased damage / Line of sight is almost a neccessity with this build or you will die.



Overall Tips: LOS LOS LOS, thats really the key to playing DSJ. You dont have the defenses like say a commando does to stay out in the open and take punishment. Timing specials is also key, hitting that cloak or force run at just the right time could make or break a fight so learn when to utilize those. Finally, and probably the best advice out there for anyone in general is learn about other professions and their abilities. 90% of the time novice DSJ die because they dont properly fight the profession their up against. In mass pvp be mindful of dire snares, this happens all to often when you try to run into a sea of reds. Its not worth it, pick off those you can safely reach and always keep near a medic. (And for god sakes dont use stamina / parry / dodge / evasion exotics).
