In-Depth IG-88 Guide : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

The most ideal group to safely get through this Heroic Encounter is,

3 Commando
1 Officer
1 Jedi
2 Medic
1 Smuggler

Part 1, Self-Detonating Battle Droids

You're going to want your main tanks (Commando/Jedi) standing at each of the four doors on all corners of the room to catch the droids, Medics standing by a 2 pair so Bacta Spray can hit both tanks if/when they may need it.

Smuggler and Officer (or whatever other DPS you may have with you) hang out towards the center to pick off any droids that may get past the tanks and go for the Medics.

Part 2, Droideka's

After all of the self-detonating battle droids are out of the way, a Droideka (Gold Elite) will spawn at each of the 4 doors, you'll want to coordinate which one your going to get on, and pick them off one at a time.

Part 3, Large Battle Droids with Flamethrowers

There will be 2 droids that come out after your done with the Droideka's that have flamethrowers, roughly 5 seconds in to the fight, have one of the medics stasis one of them, and face the back of the droideka to avoid it's AoE flamethrow, and stay out of the targets that appear on the ground.

Part 4, IG-88

Attack from a far when his shields are down, and attack close in when his shields are up.

You can also stand in the spot where he stands there the whole time and not take much, if any damage.

If you step on to the outer squares while fighting IG-88, silver-elite Droideka's will spawn.

Everyone in the group will get +1 to Combat Offence: Strikethrough Value until you get 10 total, and 1 Droid Factory Token of Heroism.

Possible loot items dropped from IG-88 are,
- Juyo Saberstaff Schematic -- No Trade
- Dented IG Droid Head (Random buffs)
- Combat Rings
- Weapon Enhancements
- Weapon Augmentations

very nice guide but ig has been out for so long that u can do it with just 5-6 ppl now, i hav done it many times with 5, and only 1 being a medic.


still giving it a Yay but just lettin u no that the ideal group can be done with less if the group knows wot they are doing
