What happens if you choose trader after doing this instead of combat spec? Level 80 trader?

Sure does...did one yesterday and one this morning

Hmm I tried but it didn't work for me...

Here's the steps that i followed:

Done with my jedi noob char (lvl 10 ish)

1) Head to the profession counselor
2) Select Trader --> Profession 1
3) Killed a random npc
4) went back to the counselor and took Trader --> Profession 2
4) Killed a random npc
5) and so forth till Trader --> Profession 7
6) Logged out for about 40 mins
7) No pop up comes up asking me to respec


What am I doing wrong?

Is this toon lvl90 trader or entertainer though?

Yes. Be a level 90 trader or entertainer, then do this. This was mentioned in the OP before it was edited after a suspected nerf, then edited again since it was reported not to be nerfed.

You can easily become a CL90 entertainer in ~4 hours afk. Look around the site for that.
