I think TOR and SWG are going to be totally different games. That doesn't mean people wont enjoy playing TOR enough to stop playing SWG. But they are different and the game play wont be the same.

I'm leaving SWG for either TOR or FFXIV

FFXIV looks pretty awesome. Isn't it going to be free to play on the PS3?

Hmm i doubt it but ive not read anything about it. FFXI wasnt free on the ps2 or xbox360, they had to pay regular subs same as PC users so i assume ffxiv wont.

The only difference is the ps3 version of ffxiv will be released at a later time of the year, so if they put ps3 users on there own servers (non-intergrated with pc users) then i guess they could offer it free.

They said FF14 will be playable on the ps3 but it wont be free. I think ff14 will be on the 360 eventually. I just dont know how i feel about it tho. Does it not seemed rush to anyone else? The game just seems like a giant update of ff11 with new graphics. I guess im not feeling a true sequel. Why not go a different art style or lore. Maybe go for ff7 style or something. That would be pretty awesome IMO.

Sorry a tad off topic. Also im sure they will be releasing it on the 360 eventually.

Yea TOR will be much bigger than ff14 it might get some stuff at first but i see it dying off really fast, because now playonline is going to break up the entire ff11 community.

Yea FF14 doesnt appeal to me much lately since playing the beta, it seems rushed. I'm guessing they have a marketing strategy of releasing new profs/jobs with expansions hence the lack of roles in the game upto now.

It's deffinately similar to FF11, i think the whole team is the same except the main artist/graphics designer.

Im kinda dissapointed with it upto now, ill probably play TOR for a while and see what the new FF14 expansions/updates offer.

The main reason that interest me in FF14 is the playerbase from FF11, unlike WoW type playerbases it seems more professional and mature (Thats how it was when i played anyhow). You'd have to be ethical and get along with people in order to get invites and progress in the game.
