i cant post an Attachment : Legacy General & Troubleshooting

Every time i put the file in Filename and click Add Attachment..then nothing happends.. when i wait some time something come on my screen it says "No post mode specified", so i just wanted to know what do i need to do? before i can put an Attachment in my post.

What type of file is it? Trying zipping or rarring it then uploading it.
