Ventrilo : General & Trouble Shooting

Alright, I've had this problem for a long time with Ventrilo. When I try and talk my hotkey freezes up and my voice sounds really deep to others. I also then can't talk and have to reset the hotkey. Please someone help me!

Lol yeah cuz me and my friend just bought a 75 person server which we were gonna use but it's not too good if my vent isnt working.
