Windowed FFXI problem : Legacy General & Troubleshooting

Ok, when i select the option on XU to window ffxi, and then press launch, it opens it, takes me to the login thing in POL, when i hit play, it just minimizes and vanishes. am i doing sumthing wrong? the log looks like this when i do it:

Most likely you have Fraps or nView, XUnleashed does not work with those.

i dont, never did either.

You have *some* video capture tool or graphics driver/application running.

You will need to determine what it is and dissable it.

It could be something simple like nView (although I think nView is working now with XU), or FRAPS, etc

the only things graphics wise i have running is:ffxi element(which i tried removing, and didnt fix anything), high definition audio driver package, and realtek hight def audio driver.

could be an auto downloader, could any other app. might be old graphics drivers, etc.

make sure you do not have hook dx7 checked in options.

idk, this computer is new, as in 6 days. and dx7 isnt checked :/

Does anything else work? Ie can you run the dx7,8,9 test configs? (ie in options at top, select a different config)

yah i ran them all and it worked for them all

What OS are you running?

Cuz i'm running out of ideas.

Its just not happening to anybody else.

whats causing this? i'm trying to use azaril windower with XU and i know it works fine without the windower
