There's an easy trick to keep no rent items such as gnomish distiller gems.

No that's not ye old "let them on a corpse" trick which may work too in this game but there's an easier way.

Sell it to a vendor and they'll be available for a few days in the "buyback" section. Now when I need mana/life/teleportation gems, I go to any seller and buyback what I need.

Another gnomish distiller trick... You don't have to wait for the required level to use it, just check the equipment expertise, as soon as it's under 20% you can equip/use it.

Something that should be mentioned in the OP's post is that your crap will poof if they reboot the server/do a patch.

That's what I thought too but server reboot doesn't seem to delete buyback items... Or I wouldn't have mentioned that "crap"...

interesting to know. This actually proves a lot of things about the game and what happens when they do a server reboot.
