Its fairly simple and simliar to the other exploit where you were on higher ground.

Basicly kill something, lure another enemy over the body and they should get stuck, it works better with larger units such as trents. Although it gets stuck until the body disapears but it still buys you some time to put in a lot of damage.

It does work. I used this last night on turtles. Didn't loot them so they stayed a bit longer and was easy to get them stuck on each other. Also works using trees if you position yourself just right behind it. Mob on one side, you on the other. Nifty...

Just an update, it will work on mobs that are alive as well, as usual bigger the better

This also works well with harvesting nodes, especially if they're close to a fair sized rock.

Greetings..i cant make new topic but i can add another pathing exploit to this one. This is for you mezzers out there especially bards like me.Find your 4-5dot named mob and clear a good space around you before you pull.Once you have pulled your mob with your bow and slow movement song start kiting your target.

Now this is the tricky bit as you need to draw aggro from another mob(better a 2dot) while you are kiting your named. The aggroed mob will attack you while the 4-5dot is making its way towards you with your slow song hindering its movement.

Now is the time to let the 2dot attack you and MEZZ him while the 4-5dot is behind it making its way to you.The named will keep moving towards you and the mezzed 2dot because you should have the 2dot mezzed in the 4-5dot named path line.If you time your mezz and put just the right distance the 4-5dot will get stuck behind the mezzed 2dot because of pathing, now my mezz last 18sec so thats 18secs to fire bow without the 4-5dot moving lol he is at a stand still behind mezzed(always keep 2dot mezzed in 4-5dots path line).

As a bard it will take a while for 5-6 dots to die but a psci could seriously take advantage of this baby lol.

I'll Yay that, been doing it a couple of nights when the opportunity presented itself.

Additional information on this is that you can also use harvesting nodes when they're placed next to rocks (as stone and metal often are). Just pull (preferably with a slow of some kind) and move round or jump over the node, then sit and fire indefinitely. Works much better than using dead mobs as, unless some enterprising, fearless harvesting comes along, the node doesn't disappear.

The other thing to do, if possible, if you have no node and want to use a mob to path into is to make sure the dead mob is skinnable and don't skin it - corpses last a lot longer with an unharvested skin on them.

sounds good
i have yet to confirm it but i'm thinking you could do that with players as well. Ask one of your friends to block the mob while its snared, not sure if it will work though

Unfortunately players don't have any mass to mobs, they just walk right through.

Another tip: around the Xennu area, the Xenn Glyphs count as mobs. You can stick a mob behind it easy, it never paths past it and it never disappears. I didn't use it often, but it was handy for the 3 dot rhinos.

They glyphs got altered soon after I posted that but yeah it still works. It's boring as hell tho, I'd rather fight :)
