Ok once you get Lv 20 your eligible for questing your first good adventuring cloak. So, head over to Donovan at Donovan's Roost and grab the quest. First thing to do is go south into the Infineum Mine as indicated by the quest tracking marker. Someone in this area, walking around in a circle, will be a 5 dot non-aggro npc. Talk to him to complete the first part of the quest. (Note: the infineum mine holds Lv 22 4 dot mobs, so bring a group or have invis).

Next, you need to talk to the slave. To find him, when entering Infineum Mines from Donovans Roost, immediately turn right and find him slightly hidden in the black ore like structures. This should get you the next part of the quest.

For the final part of the quest, you must kill the slavemaster, Captain Fubare. You can find him to the direct west from the entrance to Infineum Mine inside a tent. DO NOT BE FOOLED! When you /hail the Captain, waves of Guards will spawn. The easiest way to therefore complete this task is to bring along 2 Lv 22 Psionicists with the skill Time Stop. Focus Fire on the Captain, while the 2 Psionicists alternate AoE Mezzes until the captain drops. (Note: you may want to do this with 2 groups in order to bring the captain down quicker, but make sure the group who /hails the captain, does more damage, in order to get the key drop. If you bring 2 groups, you will need to kill the Captain twice, but with more ease than having one group.) When you kill the captain, and everyone loots the key, Evac out.

Finally, go back to the slave and talk to him again. He'll tell you to kill Thralls in order to get a pickaxe and mine some ore. This part is essentially self-explanatory. Just run around looking for Thralls, kill one, loot it, and mine your 5 ore. Finally, talk to Donovan and enjoy your new cape.

Feel free to ask questions - and I will answer via re-editing my original post.

yay. I did this at 22 with 2 full groups, the captain spawns 2 adds when you first attack him, 2 adds at 75%, 2 @ 50%, and 25%. Sometimes he gets bugged after a group fails, and no adds spawn. You can nolonger drag the captain off and fight him solo.. and try to keep him in the tent, seemed to have the best luck when we did that as far as adds.

Something Strange Afoot: (level 19+ to be able to get the quest)

To the South West of Khal there is a place called "Donavon’s Roost". Near the top there is a man called "Scholar Donavon". Talking to him at level 19+ and he'll give you a task to find out what is going on in the Mines to the south.

This quest breaks down into 4 parts. The entrance to the mines for this walkthrough will be the closest entrance from Donavon’s Roost.

1. Talk to the Wanderer.

Fight and clear out the front of the mines a little way in working your way left towards a ramp up alittle plateau that has infinuim(?) Sentries at the top. Do not go up the ramp to the top as this is unnecessary as staying on the ramp, eventually a level 20ish 5dot mob (non agro friendly ? name) will wander by. At this time make sure that the mobs are cleared so you won't be interrupted. Hail him, (DO NOT RIGHT CLICK!) and talk to him. Have a chat just don't demand the information. After that he'll give you information about how a slave could inform you about the intentions of the miners.

2. Find the Escapee.

The slave you are looking for is a runaway in a very nice location. Go back to the start of the mines, if you face the mines looking into them, the wall of Infinitum chunks to your right, specifically behind a pillar next to the wall (in the mine) is a Runaway slave, but he too does not quiet feel like telling you everything.

3. Free the Runaway

The slave isn't willing to talk till he's totally free, He asks you to find the slave master and take his key to free him from his slavery. If you continue to your right you will run into a hill work your way up and over the hill. Stay in the middle of the chunks and pillars and head right to the hill/wall edge. Once there if you look to your left up and over another little hill will be a camp, and further behind them in the corner. To the back of the camp there is a pointy tent, this is where you are going (Higher level mobs 23 -24 4 dots are in the area) If you walk in-between the tents and pointy tent you can go up and over the defenses and go behind the pointy tent. What ya want to do is stay up on the hill right above the defenses and clear the mobs inside the tent to the Slave Master he is a mob named 'Capitan Fubared'. He has a yellow name at the start and surrounded by his attendants. Go ahead and pull the mobs and clear out the tent except for the slave master (He won't attack till you attack him or talk to him). After the tent is cleared, hail Fubared and talk to him. He'll become attackable and call his guards.

The guards are level 24, 4 dot purple heavy armored guards. Their really hard themselves let alone 2 of them and the slave master. There are 2 ways to do this, if you could mezz one guard or just fight the guards that would be wonderful, Fubared like his name sake is not hard at all (even though he's a 5 dot) He'll die really quickly as in comparison to his guards and normal mobs his level, after that make sure everyone is alive when he dies then loot the key. Another method is to get him to call his guards and attack you then run along the mountain side to this area is clear of mobs (this is going to be behind you opposite of the way you came in along the mountain, keep ruining (towards the next chunk) and you should see a rock in the ground. Eventually you'll be able to just attack him (If you did damage to him otherwise he will turn and run back to the tent like his guards if no one attacked them or your back to fighting them as well) at this time he'll be too far from his guards for them to hear his call. You can kill him then loot his key (please make sure all party members are near him when he dies they can die in the fight but if you have some members not near him i.e. still back near the tent they will not receive the key.), You do not need to kill the guards just make your way back to the slave. Best way if you have a member that can evac do this then run to the runaway slave.

4. Mine some Infinium.

The slave will be happy that he is now free and will tell you some stuff but you'll have one more thing to do. You'll get a new quest to collect 1 infinitum pickax and also collect some infinitum ore. The pickaxes are dropped off of the 'Infinium Thralls' who are scattered though the area, mining the infinium. Once you have the pickax, you can use the clickable rocks you may have seen around. Run around the mines and collect all the infinitum (5) that you need to complete the quest. (You must find the rock, and Right click with the (!) Once that is done, your almost home free. (The axe is not rare but not everyone in the group gets to loot one, we set it up as a random roll. Please don’t be selfish and start mining the (!) for yourself help the others get their pickax cause there are roaming mobs everywhere near the Thralls and the (!)’s so you will all need to help one another. The (!) are not rare as well the spawn near the wall of the mine all the way back to the entrance. You will just have a lot of running back and forth clearing mobs waiting for everyone to get their 5.

The End

Head back to Scholar Donavon at the roost. first, give him the ore so he can take a look at it. Then after that is complete, the cloak quest will complete. After this Choose your cloak and hit accept, be carefully as the cloaks I believe come in medium and heavy and possible light (not positive). Congratulations! you've gotten a cloak and hopefully it will last for many levels to come. It looks like a cape, its not stiff and very wavy, have pride, for it was a damn hard reward to obtain.

Yeah we wiped many times till we figured the in’s and outs of this. The next quest id for a nice ring. Have not even started this but I see others and posted some about how to get started on this.
