Any work being done on a crafting bot? : Vanguard Premium Discussions

Hey all,

I know its early, but Im assuming that after beta5 opened, many of you guys who have been following VG have made it into beta.

Is there anyone working on a crafting script/bot yet? The VG crafting system seems very involving, possibly even more complicated than EQ2's system (pre-simplification). It does have a lot more variables that needs to be taken into account, but it also dosn't have anything that requires quick reactions to catch, as the crafting can be done at your own pace.

From what I've seen so far, even a relatively simple autoIT script should be able to handle everything, given that you got some tasks loaded and have the ingredients at hand when you start. The internal logic will need to do a lot more checks due to more random and semi-random factors than EQ2, but on the other hand, all the checks should be relatively simple to perform and suceed with.

I'm hoping someone else with more scripting experience is allready working on it, but if takes a long time I might just whip up something very rudimentary in autoIT and post it for the members to dissect and use as they please, though if it coms to that, the documention will probably be very basic.

Let me know whats happening in the community on this front. Release is soon upon us, and the early bird gets the worm :)

I'm wondering if we could just blast out a simple script to craft say a thousand low level items and not take into account all possible reactions.

Well I have been testing crafting in beta since Beta 3 and IMO crafting experience is better gained by completing work orders instead of the typical grind of 1,000,000 items items...

After crafting and using crafting bots in every major MMO I feel that the best crafting bot style for this game would be the DAOC type bot--because of the limited space in one's bag, the DAOC bot that I used would craft items, go to the vendor and sell off the items, and then go back to the workstation... rinse and repeat... This type of system will be most benificial in VG--complete 3 work orders at a bench, then path back to the work order NPC and get 3 more work orders, and finally path back to the work bench... rinse and repeat...

Either way I hope someone has something working ASAP :)

I'm ready coach, put me in the game...

That may be ideal but it would be more complicated. I have started a bot and have been trying to find unique x.y cords for each diff type of reaction. It is a huge pita.

Tault mods, is there anyone working on a xunleadshed script for VG? Is there any devlopment going on at this site on any games? If so, which?

thanks,

auto it 3....

you can make a simple click here mouse bot, if you take the same skill used quests (by hand) and let it crank out 5 of them ignoreing the randoms. (so get the quests, start the bot, then go watch porn for 10 minutes, come back, rinse the quests, get new ones, start the bot, and head back to the porn). It will give you wildly random levels in the stuff, but then you're only after the exp. and keeping all the tasks say blacksmith will keep the push buttons all in the same spot.

for the more advanced bot, you can use the x/y information window in auto it 3 to give exact coordinates to plug in a more advanced bot.

I really should start figureing out the bot here, I've been afk booting every mmo with autoit, but that's got serious limitations with it being a blind bot.

There's definately demand for a good one. Crafting takes time away from adventuring! :p

Suprised nobody has built a diplomacy bot...
