To do this you need to be a cleric or have a cleric who will rez you. I've only tested this briefly, but im sure there could be some really good uses for it. Equip something, anythiing as long long as its not something you wear normally, just a crap helmet or something. get yourself killed, then summon your belongings. afterwards, dont pick up your tombstone, but have the cleric revive you at the tombstone. when it says "XXX is trying to revive you, do you wish to revive?" dont click anything, just move the box to the side. equip your normal armor and such and go about your day. If you get yourself into a bad situation, simply click yes on the box and PRESTO your back at your tombstone...Great for shopping on a FFA server when you dont want to get ganked and lose all your cash...insta-get me the f-outta here

But you still lose your xp because you used the altar. How is that something anybody wants to do?

You should make a level 1 noob to buy anything from the auction house. I got one on each continent so i can find best deal and not lose money to pvp.

Sorry but this dosn't work. You only have 10 (or is it 5?) minutes to use the offered ressurection before it times out. The box will still be there after the timeout, but if you try to use it, it will just give you an error explaining that you used it too late...

So unless you expect to get into trouble within 5-10 minutes, it dosnt do you much good. Additionally, you also lose experience from this so... why kill yourself once to *maybye* save yourself later on? You'd lose the same ex anyway.

sorry i found it after getting wiped i tried to res myself and didnt click anything. got a kick out of the fact that i could run into town, start a fight with someone, then teleport out. like i said i didnt play with it very much, and i never said it was something you might want to do, just an exploit that could be useful in some cases. sorry.
