How far does it get now? Do you get the splash screen? Do you get the bot status window? Start VG but try minimizing everything before trying to launch the bot to make sure the splash is in the foreground if it gets that far.
I was always getting the splash screen and it was always on top. The splash screen comes up a split second before the Authenticate screen. I am able to authenticate which takes about 2 seconds and then I get the error.

Sent a PM as well.

Ok I was able to get exhume and vgextreme 1.13 working with some tweaking. I added all the apps in the windows firewall.

I then decided to try VGe2.
I went much further this time to checkpoint 12.

Here are 2 errors I received at 2 different times:

The typical problems post patch have appeared today. I guess its the usual offset issue.
Ill check back later to see if there is an update.

thanks

Hey beergeek believe it or not this last patch seems to work. i dl'ed everything again today and everything works as normal.

not sure why but it does.

my only problems are:
1) i cannot seem to get refining WO's at all. could that be the alternating setting?

2) seem to be the abandoning of WO's. depending on where the routine is caught it hangs up.

also it gets caught in a loop looking for tools sometimes.

granted i have not let a full cycle occur which could be part of the problem. i'm realizing this as i'm typing.

lol

i'll keep you posted.

whatever works, I guess...

For work orders, you want to start at a crafting table. It'll first try to do any work orders you already have. Next, it will go to the taskmaster for the table type you were just at, attempt to turn in work orders (alternately abandon them or try the next taskmaster depending on log text), then if you set the alternate flag, it will go to the other taskmaster to obtain work orders. If none available, it switches taskmasters again. Then it goes to the utility merchant and replenishes utilities, then (if specified) it will repair gear and finally return to the craft tables where the cycle repeats.

it will abandon a work order if it tries to turn one in and gives the "you don't have enough items..." log message. i.e., either none were crafted or they all failed.

For tools, as long as you have the toolbags configured right and the tools are in their proper places, it shouldn't get stuck in a loop. This can happen, however, if you're using the Craft Helper mode and forget to switch the bot to refining or finishing to match your table.

I found out what i was doing wrong to cause the work orders not to be obtained by the taskmaster. during the setup, i over thought the 1-10 choosing of available WO's. i started from the the 4th or 5th down which is why it never was able to get new WO's. i figured that out and adjusted .

i am still having a problem though with choosing the right toolbag. it seems as tho it only wants to click in 1 spot regardless of where the tools are. it always clicks on Belt 2. i tested this by reconfiguring to where it had to switch to belt 1 for a tool. it clked 2 over and over. i was not in helper mode and i also chked the config file which showed the correct location.

i thought maybe i moved the crafting window by mistake and maybe that was the problem. i moved it overto the right and now it onlys clks belt 1.

i'm not sure what this could be.

any thoughts?

maybe i need to redo my toolbar setup?

Sliding the craft window over shouldn't be necessary, unless it got moved in the first place. If it's clicking complications correctly, then it should be right. Both complication and toolbelt mouseclicks derive their location from setting the location of the Cancel button in the craft window.

Assuming this is all fine, all I can say is change your debug level to 9, save and restart the bot, try it again until it hangs on the toolbelt, then PM me your latest debug log file (timestamped files in your /log directory)

what i did and it seems to have worked is, reset the horizontal hotbar and have it recreated. that was the only change and it doesn't happen anymore.

The bot stops now when I run out of a particular supply needed for a recipe instead of canceling and moving on.

That is intentional. If you're doing real items and chaining recipes, the others may not work anyway and if it's happening with work orders, you're better off adjusting the utility purchase quantities to reliably make all items.
