Do you have all your macros set up so that as you are running through an area you can try and find a resource? Tired of targeting an used resource and not being able to target another resource in the area because you are locked on it? Well look no further - welcome to the first release of the ResourceHUD - Sylvanius dreamed it up and together we bring it to you.

This nifty little utility will open up an "overlay" within the game and track those resources that are closest to you. Right now, it will track ALL resources - in the future we will allow you to sort what gets sorted and how.

Download the .rar file, extract it to your VGExtreme Directory, and load resourceHUD.vbs. Oh yea, this works if VG is in Windowed mode .. I don't know what will happen if you go to FULL Screen mode - so do so at yer own risk. :-)

Once everything starts up you should see the HUD in the mid-left of your VGScreen. It will have a list of resource ... unless of course you are standing in the middle of town and there are no resources within 150 feet of you! (Please don't load it up in town, get an empty window, and then come post that it don't work for you. Go stand next to a Jute Plant and if it don't show up - then give a shout out.)

1.0.2 Changes
- Added Ability to Choose Between Resources or Mobs
- Fixed White Line

1.0.1 Changes
- Sorts the Rarest Nodes found to the top of the list
- Allows you to choose what nodes you see:
- - Quarying
- - Lumberjacking
- - Reaping
- - Mining
- Changed the HUD Size to show ~10 entries
- Minimized the "flicker" when the overlay refreshes - but haven't conquered it.
- Modified most of the code to make it more performant.

You can also do some neat things instead of resizing the window.

You can get the coordinates of the upper left corner... and place your overlay as an offset from there.

This opens up a nice radar style of window all in XUM/VGE code.

I havnt played with the drawing routines much, but you should be able to do it easily by loading in GDI32.dll with the dll examples, and use drawing routines to draw lines, etc to draw a nice radar.

How far out can we actually scan for stuff whiel reading from memory offsets? Im assuming that at some spesific range there is a "bubble" around the player where it just stops loading information right?

Any idea how far out it stretches?

Dumb question, but is this program detectable by SoE? Wouldn't it be pretty easy for them to do a memory search for VGextreme?

I am not trying to be paranoid, but I love the game and would hate to get my account banned. I am just curious about the technical means of detectability.

your reading the memory not writing to it so its harder to detect it. they could detect it with warden but thats very expensive for SOE to buy

Like warden the spyware in World of warcraft?
And how expensive is warden? doesn't sony have millions?
Just wondering
thanks

PS: couldn't you just make VGExtream.exe to arbitrarliy make some Exe name up randomly

Yea have his latest one from 2/16. Keep in mind I haven't used ExHume yet. Once im logged in, and running Exhume, open project, select the resourcehud.vbs which is in the exhume dir (same dir that I put vgextreme in), it opens, press F5.

It puts focus on VG window, then something tries to open in game but doesn't. Get that error in exhume. Anything that I miss at all there? I'm sure it's gotta be something stupid.

Actually I'm pretty sure this is not an issue with the resourcehud now. I get the same error just running the vgextreme.vbs

Sounds like you are exectuing Exhume.exe rather than VGExtreme.exe?

VGExtreme.exe has the getNearestMobs() function for VG, eXhume doesn't.
