VSOH Hacks - VGX Manager : VGExtreme Programs

I installed the program, fired it up and it worked first try. I can logon and see my toon, see mobs, save waypoints, and even travel the path I saved.

What I can't figure out is how to use this with my hunting script to run around and kill mobs. With the program running I tried using my old hunting script and now I cannot attack any mobs. I just run along the path and nothing happens.

If you can't tell, I am a complete noob to this stuff so any help would be appreciated.

murashi - Thank you so much for responding that it is working! I was getting worried that people were downloading it, having problems, and just going on with life. You are my first confirmed "it works!" - so thanks.

This "Alpha" version doesn't do much more than provide a reference for what you can do with VGeXtreme using .net - and was posted to get people to test and see if they had early feedback.

So there isn't much that is does in conjunction with your current hunting scripts and you probably shouldn't use it as such today. But keep checking back for more releases - now that we have the basics in place, we intend to implement a Command & Control panel that will allow you to configure combat automation for your character.

Until then, you might want to use the "export waypoints" to easily map out paths and then open the exported files to get the waypoints for your scripts. But ultimately you will want to close the VGXManager when running your other scripts so they don't impact each other.

Thanks again for the feedback, I very much appreciate it. Would love to hear any other success or failure stories as well - it will help make the tool as robust as possible over time.

Thanks for the fast response! Glad to hear I could be of help. Like I said I had no problems doing the few things I mentioned before.

I am a complete noob when it comes to using these scripts so any program like yours will help me drastically. I finally have 1 script that works halfway decent but I still have no idea how to edit it or imbed waypoints and such.

Thanks for your hard work.

Hey,

Sorry i've taken so long to get back with a result, been between houses.
Just loaded up today and messed around a bit, everything seems to be working as intended, no random errors msgs either. Looks rather polished for an alpha app tbo :)

Cheers again for the work. Should be a good stepping stone for future projects.

Sunday - 10 June 2007 Update

I didn't have a lot of time this week to focus, just a few ticks here and there - so I re-did the user interface. It was something I intended to do eventually anyway - and it's better to be done now than later. So this is strictly a UI update - nothing else has changed.

Oh - I also changed the manner in which waypoints are recorded as per Wyverns suggestion. It is now distance based instead of time.

One note about upgrades - I'm providing a new database in each package - which means any custom data (waypoints, undesirable targets, etc.) that you have saved to your current database will be overwritten. It's up to you at this point to create a backup of your current database - install this package, and then copy your old database over the new one. I'll sort this out in the future.

Great work. I'm predicting that this will one day be the most used boting application.

I volunteer to do testing and feedback reguraly to help develop this..

Heya folks. I appologize for not getting an update out last week - life came at me fast and low, and the Vanguard Patch at the end of the week complicated things.

I've made some progress, but not enough to publish - the new UI stuff I added to manage a bot would just confuse people until I finish the logic behind it.

It is my goal to provide an update once a week until I have "completed" the program, and then provide fixes as necessary and time allows.

So I would set your expectations to sometime this comming weekend for the next release - and I'll try and keep you updated as I go.

Thanks for all the great feedback!

Folks - I'm going to have to stop development on this. I no longer have the resources to run Vanguard ... and sorta need to have the game to develop against it.

Perhaps in a few paychecks I'll be able to get the resources and I'll then turn my account back on. In the meantime ... all the sourcecode is here - and I'd like to think it is very well documented ... so if anyone else wants to pick it up and run with it .. it's there for the picking up and running with.

well thats great, if tault is getting money for subscriptions, and you have tault in your name, seem to be working for them scripting. Shouldnt they be helping you in any way possible? including hardware.

Bah! I got the tault_ added in front of my name way back in the day. I was originally an XUnleashed subscriber - and when Xunleashed merged with Tault I woke up one day to discover that I was no longer simply Mississippi - but that I was now tault_mississippi - and I've never figured out how to remove the tault_! :-)

Looks like I'll be able to put some cycles back into this project - but don't get too excited yet. I've had a lot of time to think on it and I'll be revisiting the framework from the bottom up - complete and total re-write. I also don't have a lot of time to invest on it - so it will be slow going .. but should be steady.

Stand by to stand by.
