Fishing! (Good or Bad) : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Okay, I've been fishing a lot lately out of boredom. I've reach skill level 150 and now I'm only half way to 300. I don't want to have leveled fishing for no reason, but everyone tells me there is no good that comes with fishing... In higher levels can anything be sold from fishing? Is it good for anything? Can you tell me the ups and downs of fishing? If so, please do. I would like to know everything fishing has to offer. Thank you.

Sell your fish anything your not going to use ya its cheap and everything but there is very little risk in it, so fish away and sell tuff you will get rich off it just not as fast as me.

Step 1: Download WoW Fisher (fishing bot) Register to unlock hidden link

Step 2: Get about 100 lures, sit in one spot, start the bot and wait until you have 300 fishing.

Step 3: Buy even more lures (+75s are the best value) Also get the +2 fishing enchnat to some crappy gloves.

Step 4: Go to Bay of Storms (Azshara-North/East of Orgrimmar) It's a little tricky finding a safe spot, but I always fish standing on some ruins if that helps. Bay of Storms has the best drop rate of StoneScale Eels. Let the bot run during the day/overnight. Register to unlock hidden link

Step 5: Check what you caught! Go to Orgrimmar/IF/Gadgetzan and sell the StoneScale Eels and any other misc. crap you caught. Alchemists use stone scale Eels, so they're usually in high demand. If it's a slow day on the AH, StoneScale Eels can sell for as much as 1g each. But if there's a lot of people selling them, it may be 50s a piece. Either way it's a nice profit.

Some people may not agree with me letting the bot run during the day/over night unattended, but If you find a nice isolated spot (bay of storms harldy ever has more than 2 people in it) you wont get reported.

I would also recomend setting up a chat tab that only listens to /say, emotes, and /tells. This way if you come back and found some one was saying something to you, you can send them a tell saying that your 5 year old cousin was fishing for you or something, lol.

Good luck.

If you have the recipe for Register to unlock hidden link you should take up cooking along with fishing. When your cooking skill is high enough to make those go to Lushwater Oasis in The Barrens and fish there.
At lushwater oasis you can catch Register to unlock hidden link
which are used in making the Savory Deviate Delight. On my server a stack of the Savory Deviate Delight will usually sell for around 2-3 gold.

Lushwater Oasis is the one below Wailing Caverns. Hope this helps.

Go to Wailing Caverns and the pond where the elites are in. Here you can fish for deviate fish, which you can make savory deviate delights out of.
