How do they tell? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I was wondering how blizz tells if you are useing a bot and if there is a way for them to not be able to.

They have some ways. Lots of them are rumors. No one is sure if they can do a game screen shot. Or another one is them reading the games packets. Eitherway there will always be a risk with a bot or macro.

thats exactly the way blizzard wants it, they want to be so tough, that when you hear the word GM, it strikes fear in your heart, thats how they will keep WoW from being overrun with hackers

Ok I know a guy who used an ultimate bot... they find out by,...well they can read all the chats in the game.... Most likely...if someone reports that they think someones botting.. a GM can simply message...and if u dont answer, but ppl report ur still doing things...its kind of screwed u over....my bros friend..had ultimate bot....becus gms are basically computer programmed responses to u....this bot had everysingle answer to question they ask....to make it look like u there when ur not..itll answer what they ask u. I also know a reason is becus they read the chats...this dude, a guy accidently sent him free acount info, he got a 53 rogue..I was messaging him, hes like, no the guy gave it to me he quit..he just made it sound like he was innocent did notin wrong..then on ventrilo ,he was laughing his !@#$%^&* off, saying how lucky he got....thats how i think my friends..
