how to play in USA server with euro installation? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

hello, is there a way to convert the euro installation of wow to play in USA servers?
A friend of me gaved a american account to try but we only have a copy of a euro installation, is there a way to make so it connect to usa login? i keep getting error trying to log in with the euro installation and the usa login.... damn blizzard for have made it so complicated!!!!!

Yes, goto your World of Warcraft folder, open the file called "realmlist.wtf", I am not sure if the Euro files are any different, but when you open it, copy the first line and save it as you will need it when you want to play on the Euro servers and past this line in "set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" without the quotes, but your version of wow will be different than the NA version, so you might actually have to download the NA version anyways.

You do, it doesnt work otherwise.
