What's the best way to help lower level people level ? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I wanted to help some newbies to level up faster, but when they group with too high levels, the exp they get seems to be much less than they normally do, so any1 know if there is a better method ? Thanks

unfortunatly there isnt much you can do, blizzard's planning i guess, i usually just stand back (not in group) and heal them or in certain cases get them out of trouble

Certainly there are things you can do. Just let them get quests, blow their opposition away. They loot and just do the quest turn ins, works wonders.

yes but they get no xp for the kills

While that is true, the speed they can finish higher level quests more than makes up for this. Ive done it, it works great.

Did blizzard fix the PW:S thing? Where you could constantly shield someone so they take alot less damage? I remember in beta that didnt steal xp, made it really easy for my mage to AoE equal level mobs... plus if I get into trouble the priest could just heal me.

once a players does damage to a mob, he alone (and his party) gets experience for the kill. This was done to prevent KSing (kill-stealing)

point being. the low level players can run by and hit everything once, and move on the the next mob while another player, probably much higher level comes by and kills it. AoE spells should work great this way. Just be careful you dont get too much at once. Big mobs can really hurt with each swing, so 6 or 7 mobs all hitting you even once could spell disaster.

Ok i'm not really sure if pc's far under your lvl get xp at all when grouped with you,but for now i assume they will

the guy in the other post is right (with the mage)

just hook(follow) all lower lvl's on to your mage (20 or more lvl's higher than the mobs)

agro as much as you possibly can (without dying) and spam AE untill they die

perhaps the players get less xp but if they get any at all this might be a pretty fast way to lvl

for horde:go to fenris isle in the sepulcher.the gnolls in the castle are perfect for this,they also have a very fast respawn
