What should I be doing now? LVL 60 Human Mage : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I am a Level 60 mage mainly fire/+Damage speck'd and haven't gotten any special gear yet other than whats available on AH. I need to know which quests I should be doing now to prepare for higher level fun. I need to get ready for Molten Core and other scary places..

What Do I need? How do I get it? Who do I have to kill? etc.

Please provide detailed info if possible or links to Guides etc. I'll distribute points to submissions depending on their value.

Wel, you obviasly need to go get your gear, you can get it in UBRS, LBRS, BRD, etc. Then, if you want todo MC, you can do BRD (I think its BRD) quest for the MC. lol, bout all i know to tell ya...

I am at work so I couldn't be specific about what i have, i already have the Eye of Flame, Mageflame cloak etc and items better than listed above. maybe my question is too vague - however I'll award a few points to each answer that helps in some way.

PVP is fun as hell, and when u get high enough rank, u get awesome armour, try it out! =P

Well first the basics:
Molten Core: To be able to get there without going trough BRD, you'll have to do a quest. Information located at Register to unlock hidden link.
Blackwing Lair: Same thing. You need to kill a guy to the alley a little east of the UBRS entrance portal (Scarshield Quartermaster)Register to unlock hidden link

When you did all of this quest chains, you can enter the raids. However, most guilds won't accept you unless you have some nice fr. So here's the basic fr set for a mage.

Neck: Reward from completing Ony preq.
Back: Register to unlock hidden link (+15fr enchant)
Chest: Register to unlock hidden link
Legs: Register to unlock hidden link
Boots: Register to unlock hidden link

This is just a basic set, if you have better items, or items that you prefer, you can equip those. But try to go not lower than 80fr.
There is also a raiding talent build for mages in the ctprofile. Use it if you like, but it's not nessacary.
