Shamans have more utility than a Paladin, they can do everything a Paladin can do, except not use plate and give blessings.

Shamans have CC and Paladins do not.

true...but those are exceptional qualities (wearing plate and useing blessings and stuff)

...when you still get frozen in the loot position when gathering in the starting areas

Yes, but a Shaman can purge buffs, lay down totems to counter for the buffs. The utility of a Shaman is far superior to that of a Paladin.

everything would be all fair and even if they just took away the paladin's sheild
