WOW: Change Warlocks Pets Name : World of Warcraft Nerfed Info

Ok this works and hasnt been discovered and i want to submit it for premium membership so here it is.

This is very easy and works.
First summon your pet.
Use this macro /script PetAbandon()
Now summon your pet again.
Your pet well now have a new name.

I found this out when i made my gnome warlock for fun. I was so happy i picked wrong macro.

I can confirm this, give the man a premium. Works on my 60 warlock.

i just noticed you lose all the pets spells when you do this, so you'll have to rebuy them all.

Yeah, but only the top ranking spells - so it's not too bad.

I tallied it up it's around 19gold to redo all 4 pets spells

5g imp
7g void
4g succ
3g fel

(roughly)

Premium granted on a guide submissions because i dont see blizzard ever going out of their way to stop this hah.

technically it shouldn't work since if you use the function to see if the pet is abandonable it returns false. but blizzard doesn't seem to do much chekcing into such a simple macro.

i was trying to find a way of renaming it to something youwant but it doesn't look like there is anyone to make your own name

It works it's a legit macro in the Lua script

did this with my Imp a few times

no just buy the most powerfull ones for your pet at your current lvl you don't have to buy all of the spell books and upgrade em by lvl like you did when you first started

I know those prices I quoted are for just the top ranked spells for each pet
