FFXI Fan Fest brings banned accounts new hope? : FFXI General Discussions

I looked about for a good while looking for any information about the Fan Fests' announcement that accounts banned for third party tools could be reactivated after one year's banning time...

Now I have not seen any information on their site, and I definitely do not think that they would openly state that. But has anyone heard any word on this? Is it just fluff?

That would be amazing. I have had 2 75 characters banned over the past 3 years and it would be one hell of a reunion to get them back .

The main thing that gives me hope is the LM-17 message.

just talked to GM about this. This rumor is infact just a rumor and not a fact.

Wow that could be great i got 5 accounts banned just for having the same credit card that one that i used to cheat....

I heard that a few years ago SE was selling relic weapons at Fanfest for $200. =3= Might've just been a rumor.

Lol, SE is one of the few companies who will NOT under any circumstances sell ANYTHING inside of a video game for money related to FFXI.

And if they were going to sell a relic weapon, they'd be cashing in over a few thousand dollars, and not a measly $200. So basically, you got lied to

I'd be willing to put money on the fact a lot of the RMT's are used by SE themselves to sell gil to companies like ige for extra profit.

I doubt it, because they would have lost a lot of money with the "Special Task Force" (STF - Which also stands for "Screw The Fools")
