the only way things like this will EVER be fair is if they are rare/ex. I know that would suck but it would also mean more people will have their chance to get them etc.

The same number of peacock charms still enter the game, just because someone can't camp it to sell for gil doesn't mean it drops less...
Rather it drops MORE because they ususally bring thf treasure hunter skill.

also remember ppl would be forking out gil to have ppl help them camp, claim, and fight the enemys lol so either way

the reason I think rare/ex would be the only true fair way for items like this is that it stops greedy people. Ok so it drops more.. the price comes down a little its still going to be 8mil+ and some players dont have that kind of money spare. The mob will always be camped people have more than one of the item while other people who cant spend masive amounts of time online camping loose out.

If the item was rare ex people who wanted the item would camp it kill it a few times get the item then thats it. A lot more people will get the item without having to pay stupid money (and for what it does the current prices are stupid). If you have more than one of any item like this then you are being greedie. The drop rate was lowered to stop people monopolizing the mob fir this very reason.

Dont get me wrong Im not saying that camping this for money etx is wrong but I am saying with human nature and the game mechanic/economy one item per person will be the only real fair way to all players (in respect to people actually owning the item).

reflax sure this may happen but if the items were ex then people would be more likely to try for it themselves and people payed to claim the mob (ie in a party) wouldnt be that comon.

Take for example the Ochideos Kote (or how ever its spelt). There was a player in my linkshell that had 10 of them from where he just camped it all the time. He doesnt sell them only lends them every now and them to people in the linkshell. So thats 9 rare drops that other players didnt get. Had the item been ex 9 other players would be running around with that item.

Im gulty of it myself I have have about 6 rabit charms in the month I've been playing again so im not having a go at people that camp its just the point about fairness.
