Video 5 Peacock Charms in Delivery Box + 10 mil gil : FFXI General Discussions

I just needed to host the video file somewhere that showed my peacock Charms. I just thought other people might like to see the video, as well, of 10 mil gil + 5 Peacock charms in one delivery Box.

As a side note, I used the XUMovieMaker Plugin. It worked ok (this was my first time).

The issues I had were:
1) only like 1/2 the codac's it displayed worked.
2) No way to change / set resolution? <- Don't know if that's possible.
3) No Stop / Start Buttons (Couldn't figure out how to stop it, or tell if it was started).
4) No way to see how large the movie file is becoming / will be (I.E.: MB/sec)

Thanks again for the plugin though, it's very nice. It looks like it could use some more touching up, but it is very nice.

Anyways Im sure you prolly noticed this but did you want everyone who comes here (and possibly on your server) to know your Alias? Cuz I recognize it and could easily report you now and have some pretty solid evidence.

I think you should hand over that bot and make people happy before they get mad...

From what I understand you have a method to provoke based on Monster ID before it loads onto the screen. You have shown great rewards with the charms.

How do you manage to cover all the different pop locations for Argus?

i would use the movie maker if it worked properly. right now its just not practical to use. only like 4 of the codecs work, it is terribly laggy, it uses ur microphone to record sound instead of ingame and i see no way to change this or better yet disable audio completely. its a nice idea but right now fraps serves the purpose better.

The video plugin would also be usefull if you can control it via script commands. ie. start and stop recording commands. (and it was't buggy as hell)

Powder, use the DIvX codecs and it works pretty well here.

hate to say it, but i doubt he's releasing any program.. and argus has a huge spawn area, so i don't see how this could be proof that his 'bot' works.. >.>

It may not be proof his bot works but then when did his post claim other wise. Plus hes got something right to get that amount of charms as we are talking at least 70+mil if that was my server, and if I was him I would make sure I had a DAMNED lot of gil and items before releasing it because when he does NM's will become way over camped harder to get and the game economy will be even worse than it is now.

If I was in his position now I would set up mules and fill them with all the must have gear for every job class. Buy everything you needed then make sure you have a few thousand mil gil spare before putting the bot out.

The quantity of charms in his delivery box is quite impressive. However, I know in my LS I could also get such a quantity just by asking LS members to send me theirs for a quick screen shot.

Valid or not, I would say the person is welcome to boast. I will be impressed when I see something which has functions that surpass the multiple spamming bots out there now.

Does fair mean we should have ping times in the 30s like JP players? Because I would be more then happy to play that way...

Does fair mean that when someone else claimes a mob using an advanced packet sniffer the we all get the drop if he does? That also would work for me...

Otherwise fair doesn't really seem to be ...

True, the challange should be in the fight with the mob, not with the technical advantages of otherplayers.
