expertise exploit warning : SWG Premium Discussions

WELL this is waht happens when people exploit its the risk you take

and even though it might be heer its also instantly copied to free sights \


plus human nature says someones gonna use the exploit pvp and with combat logs well what do you expect



im gonna try this exploit in a months time see if it s fixed



i dont see how they can fix it when i switch off my modem and instantly switch it back on the exploit works that way as well

It's easily fixed, and I don't see why ppl think it isn't.

All they simply have to do is run a check algorithm to ensure no more than 45 points are used in expertise. This can be done periodically, or it can be done when you press train. Further, they can make it so that the server must send a packet back to the client prior to acceptance of a 'train' input. They could also require packets to be sent from the client and server when the expertise window is open- say every 10 seconds- packet loss=window closes and all untrained points are lost and returned to the available points pool.

So, as you can see, there are several ways the exploit can be fixed.

Thankyou, someone who actually understands how games handle server/client side actions.

I think the majority of gamers think the game runs on magic.

regardless of anything now they have it fixed and are just looking for people who already had the exploit before that have yet to respec them so no worries. and i have tried this several times now it does not work, when you click train after set 1 they go blank and will not load until a connection is detected again, if you wait for them to show while unconnected it will just eventually say connection lost. :(
