Blue Mage and New expansion : FFXI General Discussions

Yeah i just watched a JP Video of the Blue Mage Feature, looked pretty sweet. i'm curious of 2 things, 1st: if blue mage learns monsters abilities, whats it's chances of working (like lizards baleful gaze which causes petrify, which would just be sweet in itself) be based on? i doubt enfeebling magic. very interested in this job, the other question that i ponder is, what's short for blue mage? BLM is taken, maybe BLU will stick lol i dunno but i can't wait to see it.

We have Red so I dont see why they would not use BLU

Regarding your skill question it will problaly be based like Bard the more you use it the better and stronger it will be. This is just my opion though.
I dont know if they will add new skills for this job.

As for FF series once you had it. It was yours so I dont know how they will change that over to FF11.

What about the Chocobo ownership anyone see anything on that?

they have WHM BLM and RDM, so why not have a BUM, lol

SMN - Summoner
BRD - Bard

Both don't end with "M".

RDM - Red MAGE
BLM - Black MAGE
WHM - White MAGE

See the pattern?

Blue MAGE

Most likely BUM, as silly as it may sound.

Well Actually,

On Alot of servers ive heard (i play 3, bismarck, shiva and soon to be another) they have startd saying RED for RDM SUM for SMN and DAR for DRK so people are changing the abbrev. so im thinking it will be BLU because BUM seems so... Stupid
