VG Hacks - VGExtremeRadar v2.1 with Harvesting and Waypoints : VGExtreme Programs

Sure arcos...I am also adding a check to see if the targeted node is at the same coords that we are looking for. The bot was a quick and dirty addin but if you have any more suggestions I will try to get them added.

Update:

1) Radar shows distance to each object in view
2) Harvesting bot checks if the correct node is targeted
3) Harvesting bot times out after 20 seconds and continues to next node

I left the v1.7 up for now until I have time to finish testing v1.8

You should change the commands back to use macro's by default , takes too long to have it type out the /targetnextnode command.. and it's not realistic that a person would type out the command everytime.

It's checking to see if the resource is correct too fast, need to add a small delay between checks, sometimes it spams the targetnextnode command 5-6 times when it comes to a node.

Occasionaly the bot starts to go to a point and moves on to the next point before it reaches the first one, throwing it off the path and running it into obstacles, i cant seem to reproduce it on demand, i think it has something to do with the spaming of the target command.

Ok, I understand that the /targetnextnode spawm is the 5 failures for nodetype so thats not an issue.

I was able to identify and fix the problem with it moving on to next nodes too soon.

the counter lTargetNodeFailures was not being reset to 0, so it was constantlly going to case HARVEST_NEXT.

This is the code you have for case HARVEST_TARGET_NODE

Code: Register to unlock hidden link

         Case HARVEST_TARGET_NODE
            faceDirection(CalcAbsAngleToXY(.X, .Y))
            DoCommands HARVEST_TARGET_COMMAND
            If VG.Target.Type = TYPE_RESOURCE Then
                If Abs(VG.Target.X - .X) > 2 Or Abs(VG.Target.Y - .Y) > 2 Then
                    DebugLog "Wrong node..."
                    lTargetNodeFailures = lTargetNodeFailures + 1
                Else
                    DebugLog "Node targeted..."
                    lHarvestState = HARVEST_START_HARVESTING
                End If
            Else
                DebugLog "Target is not a resource..."
                lTargetNodeFailures = lTargetNodeFailures + 1
            End If
            If lTargetNodeFailures > 5 Then
                lHarvestState = HARVEST_NEXT
            End If

and this is the simple fix.

Code: Register to unlock hidden link

            Case HARVEST_TARGET_NODE
            faceDirection(CalcAbsAngleToXY(.X, .Y))
            VGSendText HARVEST_TARGET_COMMAND
            If VG.Target.Type = TYPE_RESOURCE Then
                If Abs(VG.Target.X - .X) > 2 Or Abs(VG.Target.Y - .Y) > 2 Then
                    DebugLog "Wrong node..."
                    lTargetNodeFailures = lTargetNodeFailures + 1
                Else
                    DebugLog "Node targeted..."
                    lHarvestState = HARVEST_START_HARVESTING
                End If
            Else
                DebugLog "Target is not a resource..."
                lTargetNodeFailures = lTargetNodeFailures + 1
            End If
            If lTargetNodeFailures > 5 Then
                lTargetNodeFailures = 0
                lHarvestState = HARVEST_NEXT
            End If

I know you were reseting it to 0 in the MOVING case but it didnt seem to take.

I also reverted back to using the VGSendText instead of DoCommands

Seems to be running fairly smooth now.

Yeah, I didn't have time to test it much. I banged this out in the 15 mins I had before going out of town. I will take a look at it when I get back tomorrow. And it should start at the nearest waypoint when you hit go. If you stand next to point 1 then press start it should begin there.

Yes, thats working right.
It's been running for a couple hours now with no problems

Ok, I've ran the bot for over 4 hours with no issues except running out of pack space. I cant think of an easy way, but maybe someone can, to convert stacks. Even the biggest bags fill up quickly if they arent condensed.

Some other ideas...

Information Display IE: Timer showing how long bots been running, how many of what resource you've harvested, how many rares, how many rres an hour, how many common's an hour of each type..

after finnaly getting the program running on vista64home i ran this radar. worked perfectly then i noticed there was an update. so i downloaded and ran again. now no matter what i do it opens in the little tooltip on the start menu.

in vista you can hover over things on the start menu and it pops up a little preview window of what is going on in that window. Like with vanguard i can put it on auto run and do other things then hover over vanguard on my start bar to see if i am still running or if i am dead.

point is now it opens in that little preview window and not in the actual window.

any suggestions?

Hey arcosanarchy, try v1.9 and see if that fixes the problems you mentioned. If you still have pathing problems, try increasing the HARVEST_TIMER_INTERVAL.

I also added the harvest time and counts.

Sorry zergcow, I don't have VG installed on Vista yet so I can't offer any suggestions :(

firehand, try renaming your vgextremeradar.ini before starting VGE. That will put all settings back to default. Let me know if that helps.

Seems like you changed some of the movement code to require it to be closer to the nodes to harvest.. had a few i was grabing through walls that wouldnt work anymore, had to change mt path to go around so it could get right on top of the node.

Everything seems to work good except for some random quirks.

Occasionaly it will walk up to the node, target , begin harvesting like 4-5 times, swing 2-3 times at the node and then run off like it wasnt harvesting, picks right back up and coninue's on it's way and works fine on the next node.. only see that everynow and then, might be lag related?

Another issue I have might be unique to bards and thier runspeed. Occasionaly with a little lag blurp and the bard speed I will overshoot a path location by a few meters, the bot then turns around and goes back to the exact point, the way it turns, it hits forward and turn at the same time, so it has a turn radius, sometimes it isnt sharp enough and when I turn around i start running in a circle, around the path point. Continues this until manualy corrected and then it continues. My solution to this is lower my run speed, but then that also lowers my # of harvests per hour, by half. I was able to adjust my run speed song to be faster but not too fast, basicaly around 150% movement speed and I never have the problem, I'm normaly close to 240% so it's still a decrease in what i'm capable of harvesting.

What exactly does the HARVEST_TIMER_INTERVAL effect?
